More info on Shimano Steps system

The Shimano isn't underpowered at all, just not as punchy as Yamaha or Bosch which I tend to compare against on my rides.

More info on Shimano Steps system

It feels solid, but uninspiring for active riding-I'd imagine it would tick along all day doing it's job admirably in a similar way to the 26v Panasonics, but with a slightly more agricultural feel. Nice system at a reasonable price, and is definitely lighter than it's counterparts....will...

    Bosch Nyon tuning dongle

I'm afraid not Martin, as it was last week and we just cleared and updated after showing the customer. There was no Dongle on the bike, and the customer had never used one, though it was a second hand purchase. It could be unrelated to Dongles...I was simply highlighting the fact that the system...

    Bosch Nyon tuning dongle

I was performing a diagnostic and update last week on a Bosch Active, and the software prompted me that the speed sensor had had an "illegal modification". It would appear that it does show up on the diagnostics after all....This was a second hand bike not purchased from OnBike. First time i've...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

You're right Rob, there's a lot of deep sand/shallow root areas in the woods around me due to the sandstone erosion...lots of cool sandstone houses too. -I took a bad picture of Holly Austin Rock, which has a newly refurbed lived-in Sandstone house.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I'm afraid so..I actually bought my first smartphone in December specifically for the Sports Tracker/Strava...and to read books on and take pics. The 2 can be used at the sametime Eddie, no problem.....quite good, as you can see the discrepancies between the Bike, Strava and Sports Trackers stats.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It didn't feel very flat to be honest Mike...I did push it up into TOUR on several occasions, and even full power on one short sharp hill into Highley-definitely enjoyed the offroad sections more than the road sections today as it got me out of the wind for a while.

    And the kitchen sink

Crikey Eddie...sensibly well equipped, but what does the weight come to? I carry a mobile, whistle, short razor edged knife, surgical gloves, mini box of Scabs, spare chain link, £10 note, tyre levers, multi tool and a mini pump. These all go in a small triangle bag under the crossbar and weigh...

Looking for e-bike for my wife

Not available until March/April...but the KTM Amparo would definitely do a good job. http://www.onbike.co.uk/products/ktm-amparo/ Tried and tested Panasonic technology, large Battery and very comfy-worth a look.

    Road bike commuter bike

Hi Cwah, How about just using a backpack that can take a laptop? Less weight and trouble than attaching the bag to the bike.
