Fun while it lasted! Any troubleshooting advice?

On of on off sounds like the battery - or the controller thinks the battery is going I say that because when the battery on my old bike was running very low that is exactly what it used to do

    Broken derailleur

Thanks - not just me then - and also powered by Bosch - wonder if that is relevant

    Broken derailleur

Yup - first stop tomorrow is the bike shop - well within guarantee but I don;t think the adjustment was out - everything worked fine especially with the gears because I am fussy about that Still - I will see what the shop/Raleigh say

    Broken derailleur

Hi all Today I went for my normal bike ride - bike is about 6 months old and has done just over 1200 miles so far - lockdown has been great for rides!! anyway - I got a few miles from home and was going slowly on a short path alongside a canal when the pedals went 'weird' and there was a bad...

You could try https://ebikebatteries.co.uk/ to get the battery recelled They could also advise on the charger to check it is working OK

Very stylish and lightweight new E-bike on preoder now

charges in 2 hours but can do 43 miles on one charge but no mention of AH or Wh of the battery - in my experience batteries take longer than that to charge maybe they use better charging tech - or the mileage estimate is more 'optimistic' than most still - look cool!!

    Went over 1000 mile yesterday!

I suppose someone had to say that :) (it would normally be me!!!)

    Went over 1000 mile yesterday!

Got a new Raleigh Motus in November (long story) but as I don't ride when it is freezing, or rainy or blowing a gale I have only been riding consistently over the last few months (i.e. before lockdown) Finally went over 1000 miles yesterday

    E-Bike for Daily Commute

I have a Raleigh Motus - similar to the Centros but not as good From my experience my Motus - with the smaller battery - would eat that commute - and would probably do 2 days before needing a recharge. So the Centros would deal with it easily However - that is in today's weather - when it was...

    more bikes on road

I can believe that! However, it could be for several reasons - such as people being on bikes when they haven't ridden for several years, much increased number of people on the roads on bikes - or, more likely, people in cars thinking they are Lewis Hamilton because the road is empty So - have...

    more bikes on road

I think a lot of the bike sthat have appeared - whether new or 'rejuvenated' - will end up back in the shed But once people have got used to the idea then some will remain as a part of the routine. This should be especially true in areas where there are roads and paths where people can cycle...

    more bikes on road

I have seen loads more bikes around than I used to. I have been going out riding most days since last July and I generally saw the same few people every day. Now I see 10 times as many To confirm this I was in the local bike shop a few days ago and he is up to his neck in business. He has...

    Which Bell

I have been looking for some time for a system where I can ring my bell as a polite 'excuse me' - and also have an option of a warning when I need one. My problem is that on many occasions I have rung my bell when I approach some people and one of them jumps out of the way in shock - as if...

    Conversion kits and the law

Have you a link for that - mine (Bosch)seems to be adjusted a bit high (but below 17) so I would like something official just in case Thanks

    Salisbury cut out and info

I used to have one of these - I loved it but sold it last year and replaced it with a more modern ebike However I did manage to get some wiring diagrams while I had it - I will attach them so you have them if they come in useful - and for others

    Battery charging

I suspect that my wife's battery is supposed to be switched on is something to do with having the BMS able to be in control and do 'stuff' - presumably balancing the cells or something But they don't give that much in the way of detail I would suspect that if it doesn;t say then it makes no...

    Battery charging

I actually read the manualformy wife's ebike a few days ago - which is unusual Turns out I am supposed to have it switched on. My own ebike doesn't have a switch on the battery so the question doesn't arise - on my old ebike the manual said to have it switched off So - I guess you should read...

    Lockdown

But if it not reliable then it can be worse than useless you end up saying - WHooo - I've had it so I'm OK but it was wrong - then you get it and infect your wife/Nan and they die or if I get it and I infect my wife - who is vulnerable and could die but I can't see her in hospital because I...

    E bike intolerance

presumably if your bike had a Yamaha 750 engine that would have been OK - but a 250w electric engine with no emissions is a problem or maybe you should have a 2.0l Diesel engine in a Mondeo - like the last person who told be I was cheating people are weird
