    First bike outing with hubby

Well, he had his day today on the cycle way as there was quite a lot of sand in the remoter sections so I took it fairly steadily having a pretty, old ladies' bike. When we got to the clear bit I soon caught up with his mountain bike. Gaz, he is always chivalrous, bless him. Leigh, lord he'd...

    First bike outing with hubby

it's been a long time since we enjoyed a bike ride together so today we set off. Arriving at the cycleway he said 'you go first so I don't leave you behind'. I was never able to keep up before. You know where this is going........ after ten minutes I looked behind to see him pedalling...

    The dangers of buying on-line.

I imagine it's always best to contact the company first to make sure you aren't invalidating a guarantee. I don't think commenting on customer service is creating a drama.

    The dangers of buying on-line.

Appalling service, always worth checking out customer feedback before buying if possible, personal recommendation even better of course. Had a slight problem with my bike ( delivered in the middle of storm Ewan so didn't check it until later), rang the supplier and they were out to me at 9.30...

Brand new to ebiking, advice please

Welcome to the forum Dinah I am also hampered by old age and arthritis! I bought my first ebike on Saturday (well it was bought for me) and I absolutely love it. It's a fairly basic step through, nice looking, sturdy steed from a local company so I could have a good try out before buying...

    Back on a bike!

Thanks Ben Yeah, legally there is no need for third party but in the hopefully unlikely event that I caused an accident, I could quite rightly be sued. I'll check with our insurance company to see if our home policy covers it. I wish it would stop pouring down!

    Is an ebike for me?

I'm still grinning from trying my new bike yesterday and desperate for it to arrive. Try one and see what you think. I found Halfords very poor on knowledge and enthusiasm sadly but bought a Chinese bike (horror!) with all accessories from ERanger. It's very sturdy, comfortable and has good...

    Back on a bike!

Thanks Rob It will rarely be out of sight and always securely locked and secured if so but as a road user I do want third party/public liability, not that I'm planning to cause an accident. My home insurance will cover it when it is here.

    Back on a bike!

Hi all Tried my first e bike today which my lovely hub and son then generously bought for me. It's nothing fancy, an entry level step through bike, but I love it. Severe Osteoarthritis in one knee has stopped me walking far and driving is painful so I thought I'd get back to cycling as soon as...

    AVE TH5 for sale

Amazon has a big problem with scammers at the moment. Folks think they are getting a bargain and then get a bike that is a cheap Chinese fake and it's not just bikes. They back it up by copying all the genuine feedback to make it look right. Always contact the original company on their own...
