    How to "fix" Brake Fade

Riding a slightly heavy eBike down a hill in the UK shouldn't cause the problem you're having Phil, the brakes are more than up to it... and a standard bleed doesn't often get the small bubbles out of the stange shapes inside Shimano calipers and levers. Honestly, just try my tip... it costs...

Doesn't the Electric Cycle Centre in Penrith have the diagnostics kit yet? Or perhaps BikeSeven in Carlisle, or you might actually be nearer North Yorkshire eBikes in Knaresborough. All of these guys are current, or have placed their orders for 2015 KTM eBIkes, and if they've not done it yet...

    How to "fix" Brake Fade

There has to be some air in there somewhere, or a seal somewhere in the lever / caliper is failing and the fluid is getting in the the wrong part. But honestly, don't worry about the logic... just try what I've suggested... I bet it sorted it out.

    How to "fix" Brake Fade

Take the cover off the reservoir, and pump the brake lever a lot... whilst tapping the calipers and flicking the hose - this will get any small air bubbles out of the system. If you can zip tie the lever to the bars and leave the bike over night. I've been running shimano brakes for years...

where abouts in the country are you? There a loads of bike shops with the Bosch equipment needed for this job. Its not a question of volume of business, the equipment costs less than £50.00 and they'll have more than made that on just one sale. Its just they won't have been on the training...

    A Statement from Bosch

we do, and they are selling very well. The point of posting this on here was to educate some of these customers, because there are some shops in the UK that claim that using a dongle doesn't invalidate their warranty. This is miss selling, and when a customer comes to us to warranty a bike...

Yes, sorry - I should have said road transport. Clearly trains and aeroplanes are trying to get faster.

    A Statement from Bosch

yes, but it could be argued that eBikes aren't trying to replace your normal bikes, they are trying to replace the car / bus / tram / tube etc etc. Its also interesting when you use them to commute, and find that your time from bed to desk is reduced, even if your ride time isnt faster, because...

    A Statement from Bosch

we're not ignoring your feedback. I'm just saying we have to operate within the UK and EU law, you might want something different, and we may well agree with you... but we have to sell products that can be used legally. Bosch are investing massively in R&D and developing products that meet the...

    A Statement from Bosch

You're entitled to your opinion of course, but you are arguing with companies like Bosch and KTM... who are huge and would of course like to be selling faster bikes if it was legally possible.

    A Statement from Bosch

This isn't a KTM statement - we're just sharing it with you. Its nothing to do with us as a brand. They, and us aren't cracking down on anything, we're just protecting our businesses from potential liability issues, and also educating the customer base in the UK about the risks they take...

    A Statement from Bosch

We have been discussing at length a lot of things with Bosch. Firstly, it appears that their lack of dedicated marketing and support to the UK up until now hasn't been due to the small market size (as we thought) its actually because their systems are 250w and 350w neither of which are...

    Crank drive info please

As a brand that uses multiple drive systems, including 3 crank drive, (bosch / panasonicand shimano) we can be fairly unbiased really. I suspect haibike say similar things if you ask them about bosch / yamaha. There isn't a definitive answer as to which is best. If there was we'd all use it...

justin beba.... or just out of beba?

yes, and if you dongle up an eBike (pedelec) or ride an s-Pedelec it is by definition an eScotter. An eBike or pedelec has to have 250w max and 25kph cut off - and this is true in Germany / Spain. Bosch had to make there sPedelec class motor have a throttle (the walk assist is very fast in...

Wissy, you keep asking about this. I still don't understand why you think dealers won't help you? The number of eBike dealers and Bosch trained centres is growing. We're about to open another one in North Wales we hope very near Conwy. If you walk into any of the newly trained Bosch dealer...

justin beba.... or just out of beba?

Just to re-iterate its not about the speed per se. Its the fact you're not riding a bicycle, your riding what is essentially a moped and therefore its not the speed that's the problem its the fact that its not possible to register this class of moped in the UK (at the moment) therefore you're...
