How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I am not certain, but I thought that you and I had 2014 AMT Pros and that has the X01 group and they changed in 2015 to the X1 group as it is cheaper. The X01 cassette is the same as the XX1 except for the colour. Interestingly, I have just ordered a 2016 bike and they have gone back to X01. I...

do you mean X1 or XX1. I believe that only the XX1 matches the odd-even cadence of the cassette

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sorry, I did not check the box, I think that is about right, just measure against your old one allowing for a little stretch. I keep a supply of the SRAM Powerlink connectors in case I do something silly like push a pin all the way out.

It will fit but it will be too long so prepare to shorten it to taste.

Actually I believe that this is the chain you need, http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/sram-xx1-hollowpin-11-speed-chain/rp-prod91008 It is the one that I fit on my AMT Pros. I believe that I have to remove around four links so make sure that you have your breaker to hand.

Haibike Fully 2014 - Caution: Loose rear screws!

I have bought several from this eBay seller in the US, the nipples are £7.50 for four http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crank-Brothers-Nipple-Kit-139MM-3-2MM-Silver-Washer-Nipple-DELRIN-/191446927830?pt=US_Wheels_Wheelsets&hash=item2c932049d6 and the spokes are the same price for 4...

Haibike Fully 2014 - Caution: Loose rear screws!

I am sure that is correct. This is why I believe in finding a good dealer who keeps all these obscure things in stock. e-bikeshop has managed to get me back on the road the same day no matter what damage I had inflicted on my bike. By the way, I would recommend keeping some spare Crank Bros...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I came down a steep descent and I roasted the 180mm disc so that it would make the sound of a whale seeking a mate whenever I wanted to slow down. I asked my dealer if it was possible to increase the size to 200mm to provide greater cooling but they could not get it to fit. I replaced the disc...

    Right... I'm going tubeless

I have gone from tubed to tubeless to latex tubes in the UK on my Haibike AMT Pro. The tiny thorns that I would run over prevented Stans from sealing. This week on my US AMT Pro I went from latex to tubeless as I could not find a very slow leak in the tube and I had an unused bottle of Stans...

Haibike Fully 2014 - Caution: Loose rear screws!

Done, although I used a more restrained black cable tie. Many thanks for the tip, I have read of a few of these being lost .

Haibike Fully 2014 - Caution: Loose rear screws!

No, I had not even noticed that they were hollow but I will this afternoon. When Martin replaced it it has not moved since. My US AMT Pro was in the dealership in Denver recently replacing a speed sensor that had died and they said that they found many loose bolts and tightened them but they...

Haibike Fully 2014 - Caution: Loose rear screws!

Mine fell out and was lost within the first month of owning my AMT Pro. The trouble is it is held with Loctite so checking its tightness will break the seal, and then you must keep checking it regularly. I was 17 miles out so this was a real pain but Martin Brown did replace it under warranty.

    replacing brake pads

Remember to pull out the spring clip before you undo the black bolt. Even though you will get a new clip and bolt in the Avid X0 pack try and keep them in case you lose one. Remember to prise the old pads apart before you remove them so that there is enough room for the new ones. The bolt is...

A working dongle - at last

I have a 750W Bafang driving the NuVinci and not had a problem with it. I find the range too high at the bottom and too low at the top and I actually prefer the feel of my SRAM flitting up and down the 10-42 cassette. Right up to the point of course where the derailleur ends up in the spokes.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

My technique is to arrive home in the 11th gear, clean the bike, use the Park Tool chain scrubber with the delightfully citrus flavoured Park Tools chain cleaning solution. When shiny and rinsed I dry the chain with a rag, dry the rest of the bike then with the bike still on the stand liberally...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I have also been using the much off wet oil, albeit the ceramic version. I went back to Muc off dry because of the thick black paste that forms in dusty conditions, although I have been really pleased with it in the wet. I like to keep my chain spotless and it is certainly more of a chore with...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I have ridden a small one briefly and had some concerns so I am arranging a more extensive test of the correct sized one this week. I do not want to say too much on a public form until I have been able to do a more representative test. There are some software oddities that I would need...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

You are a much braver man than I, Eddie. I got overtaken last week on the downhill by an old lady on a mobility trike. Just a couple of points of interest; on the suspension I am surprised that you bottomed out on the trail setting as this vastly increases the resistance to compression over the...

    Hard to fit tyres.

That looks excellent although he should probably correct the spelling of lever. The clip alone is probably worth the entrance fee.

    It has started already.

I have removed and refitted the pads so many times on my AMT Pro. The pad spreader on the pads curls round the pad surface and looks like the pad is almost down to the rivets. In fact there is more pad the other side of the spring. There are two adjustments on the brake lever. The wheel adjuster...
