The last paragraph of the pedelecs link says,if 250w it's still a bicycle.Does that mean they need MSVA, no registration,tax,insurance,M.O.T. and licence ? Anything over 250w needs registering.

I think most you say here needs to be pointed out to newcomer's. Added to the pedelec law page would be even better, must be lots that just read and not ask questions.

B&Q where selling a similar range from Macalister.A few people on here are using the 36v 4ah batteries to power there bikes.They where on offer £34 with a charger.Lidl have a 36v lawnmower it has what looks like the Macalister battery but is only 2.6 ah.Same case lower capacity cells inside.

Not sure if the cycle motor/autocycle had speed restrictions.They where before the MSVA.Do you know what people used to do before the MSVA? Was it just take it down the local garage to get a engineers report.The ones i mean all had bicycle tyres so must be L1E-a .

The petrol ones used to be made in large numbers.That's why they have there own L-class.I'm making one.This is good news to me.I thought it would have to be a rush job to get it done,before September to keep my throttle.
