Colchester ... CCTV does not work in the dark

https://www.gazette-news.co.uk/news/16889634.colchester-leisure-world-cctv-does-not-work-in-the-dark/ Don't always assume that CCTV will protect your bike when parked up esp with clocks going forward if this story about problems with my local Council CCTV is prevalent with other town...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I watched it and it seemed to suggest tin was still being mined in Cornwall & Devon after the Romans left - though geologically related Brittany was also a major source of tin on the continent. But Spanish mines were exhausted in late Roman times so Cornish tin could have been profitably exported.

Also on the beeb a day or two ago they were asking folk on the street for their definitions of Brexit terminology and some were scarily stating that they thought 'No Deal' would mean we would remain within the EU...

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

All that's known is that it is a Specialized make of bike from news reports wether it's kitted out as OEM or aftermarket is unknown at this stage. Not sure if their range of Turbo e-bikes are available in the UK >...

Not quite so logical as that would be potentially adding perverting the course of justice to his offences... (common law offence, carrying a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.)

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

My understanding is IF he was riding a modified unrestricted bike - and even if the video exonerates him as the primary cause of the accident, he'll still be in deep doo-doo as he'll effectively have been illegally riding an uninsured, unregistered motor vehicle... I really hope it was a legal...

Most the ones I pick up as unashamed pro Brexiters via cricket facebook feeds are quite charming but eccentric village club players - ranging between Tim Brook-Talor (character he played in The Goodies) and Captain Mainwairing types who were swept up in adoration of posh wide boy Farage...

Full suspension semi recumbent for long journey

For additional range the two fire extinguishers as extra propulsion could be handy up steep hills. For comfort obviously the inflatable Hula disco island has to come along for the ride for river & pond crossings. Not sure what the blackboard, weird cricket bat and henry hoover can contribute...

    When to change tyres

For the cost best replace before handling goes to pot / punctures become more likely. Or carry some spares and wait till they fail then you've got your money's worth.

Iraqi General Ali Hassan al-Majid, a cousin of President Saddam Hussein, was widely known in Iraq as "Chemical Ali" for his repeated use of outlawed chemical warfare. Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf 'Baghdad Bob' was the Iraqi (dis)Information Minister. "We have them surrounded in their tanks."...

    Regenerative braking?

My KTM eRace Panasonic hub pedelec (now discontinued) has generative braking & generative pedalling - all I can say its as useful for day-to-day use as the male nipple. Unless you are going up and down and esp down long hills for miles on end i.e Alps, it doesn't bring any significant range...

Have you d8veh's email address? Unfortunately you won't be able to PM him via the forum as he ducked out a while back. Maybe somebody is still in contact with him and can relay a message with your details to get in contact.

He wobbles on the political tightrope with his prior support for Hamas & Hezbollah and perceived greater sympathy for Palestinians which won't win him many friends in Jewish quarters - overall I agree he's not a racist per se but he'd better try to simply condemn needless waste of lives on both...
