250 watt is it a myth?

No stock, but exactly the sort of bike I'd buy.

250 watt is it a myth?

It is looking like a 500 wh Bosch bike will get closer to the £1,600 price point, although I've not seen one yet, plenty of 400 wh battery bikes about. I'd go for a hybrid over an MTB myself though, and 500 wh if possible. This place had some very cheap bikes not long ago, but they've sold...

250 watt is it a myth?

I'll have a look around and get back to you. I'll see if any Yamaha bikes fit my needs.

250 watt is it a myth?

No sure, I'll try and keep it going for as long as possible, motor or battery repair costs will feature in that decision at some point, as long as replacements or rejuvenations aren't too expensive it will live on.

250 watt is it a myth?

I've replaced the drive-side bottom bracket bearing twice, although I could have left the second change for another 2,000 miles or so I think.

250 watt is it a myth?

It was new in that photo, although it still looks good now with over 8,000 miles on the clock. A factory bike with a few additions added by me, it was around £1.300 new. I will say that just because it suits me it is fair to say that it won't suit everyone. I'd hazard a guess that most of...

250 watt is it a myth?

It's a KTM Macina Cross with hub gears, so detuned compared to Bosch bikes with derailleurs. A bit over 3 years old at the time of the test.

250 watt is it a myth?

This should be of interest, here's some Strava stats comparing the development Juicy bike with the Roller motor system compared to my old classic Bosch bike. I did my first run on the Juicy, and second run back up on my bike, despite being tired from the first run I was 2:24 faster on my bike, I...

    Bafang 8fun CD 36v or 48v ?

Has it got a Strava segment? (probably several) it's always interesting to see the hills that people have to tackle on their e-bikes.

    Winnats Pass.

Arne was Everesting again yesterday on a different hill. this time his GPS didn't let him down, I did 6 climbs with him late in the day. https://www.strava.com/activities/775056852 Arne's in red, and in the background you can just make out what is left of the Ferodo Brake Linings factory.

Ongoing reliability of Kalkhoff/Focus Impulse 2 motors

Thanks for that. My post was in reply to d8veh's about the hub motors. Of course the thread isn't about those, hence the confusion perhaps.

The cone is the inner race of the bearing, but we'll let you off.

    Riese & Muller Delite 2

Without wishing to sound in any way negative I don't think the sprockets will have been any different in quality than any other Bosch bike. You certainly got your monies worth out of them though. I hope there are many many years left for you and the bike.

    Need help selecting ebike

Right now if I was in the market I'd probably buy a Yamaha crank drive bike. I currently ride a classic Bosch, but the lack of serviceability of the motor has put me off Bosch. However the Yamaha motors may also be hard to get parts for.

Perhaps they can wire it to a sound file too :p sorry it's all this talk of throttles

    Best bike for least peddling

I imagine after riding for a short while you'll be wondering why you actually thought you needed a throttle.
