    Help with mud please

No, pure DHMO is an insulator, so that source must be wrong. However, after reading that DHMO is given to viscous dogs, I gave it to all the kids in my sons Rugby team this morning. Before the match, and again at half time. They won quite convincingly.

    Help with mud please

I have access to loads of dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO). It is the best thing for getting rid of mud, no question. I normally use it neat, but sometimes I dilute slightly with a bit of fairy liquid. You have to be a bit careful with it though, its quite dangerous if handled incorrectly and causes...

How long should a chain last on a E-MTB

I guess it depends how fussy you are, and how much you weigh. When a FUB like me stands on the pedals in a high gear (fewer teeth at the back end) a slippage can be, err...let me put this another way. My soft underparts are precious to me. They don't get much use these days, but I like to keep...

How long should a chain last on a E-MTB

I've eaten chains in 700 with a hub drive, but that was with sand and no maintenance. You do need to change it when it wears or it'll wear the cassette out as well. You don't need a chain tool though, you can measure with a tape measure or ruler. I follow Sheldon Browns advice, which is...

    Front forks

Best pic I have is this one from the background of another picture. I don't think they look bad at all, certainly better than wrist pain, or no front grip!

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

Lasses/Chaps This thread was not really intended to stir up the old usage/sales debate, although I concede that had I the mental capacity to look three moves ahead I should have seen it coming. I think some late comers to the thread have missed the point. (that's my fault, I should have been...

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

Devon and Cornwall police don't sell dongles as far as I'm aware. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Routing cables inside frame.

There should be parts on the frame where the material is of little to no use. I'm sure there is some clever moddling software that would be able to work out where those points are, and how much can be removed. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

The original question was really referring to the fact that Devon and Cornwall police are selling a 500-1000w lash up bike. They don't make any mention that it's not legal to use. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    Is E the answer?

Is this a record before a new poster gets the hump? I'm certain D8veh was just being friendly and didn't intend any offence. A D8veh is a deceptively simple machine. Here's how it works: Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Good for all the family :)

I'm pretty sure I've used trailgators with 20" bikes (sus forks) before now. Almost certain. I'm quite tall and like my saddle very high though. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

Yep, I'm with you there. I don't hit my son, I don't plan to and I would react very badly if someone else did. Simply not necessary if children are brought up correctly. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

I believe it's the same situation here. Technically an offence, but practically never prosecuted. In theory, if caught over the limit on an illegal ebike (a motor vehicle) you could be in a lot of trouble. As a supplier of quality illegal vehicles to the local constabulary I assume I enjoy an...

    Faster charging with parallel chargers.

All you are doing is increasing the charge current. The charging current limit is not there because of limitations in the charger. Its there because the battery can be damaged by charging too fast. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

Do the cops care about illegal eBikes?

True, but if they are not being explicit about any of that. I recently built a bike for a local (reasonably high ranking) police officer. He asked me for 1000w, and I explained the legality issues. He's wasn't bothered in the slightest. In the end I talked him down to derestricted, shunt...
