    Gravel Bikes

They can be used to race cyclocross too, a tad on the heavy side this Revolt, altough the long wheelbase compared to a proper CX bike was an advantage at venues with very steep banked climbs to tackle. you have to swing your leg a bit to get on though

Anyone ever towed a trailer with either NuVinci or Rolfoff hub

Dragging weight up I think you need to accept that what you want to do requires a lot of energy.

    Hello, Very heavy rider pondering.....

It's my understanding that it is the gap from the bearing to frame on the freewheel design is the weakness and where they bend. Perhaps I'm not up to date and that issue has been resolved with newer cassette type axles with bearings much further outboard?

    Hello, Very heavy rider pondering.....

I'm not so sure the bottom bracket is a major weakness, track sprinters put out some serious power. I'm not sure if they need anything special to cope. It'll be the axles on any hub motor that will be the weak link I imagine due to the weight load.

Impact of rider weight on range

I bet Philip used a fair bit of power on this ride last year, just waiting to see if anyone went faster today. https://www.strava.com/activities/527082704#12680908719

Impact of rider weight on range

Rider input makes just as much difference I reckon, on the flat I imagine rider weight makes hardly any difference.

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

You have to view these range figures in the same way you need to view the official fuel consumption figures of cars. Out in the real world they never match the official figures. I don't use Eco, might as well ride an ordinary bike and go faster than a Bosch bike in Eco. Juicy bikes have a more...

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

I never said it was rocket science. You're the one claiming a range of 50 miles on throttle alone with no pedalling. I see you also make the same claim on the website for when you also pedal. So which is it? Go on then tweak the figures and at the very least come back with a more realistic...

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

But I'm not the one trying to sell a bike. I estimate the bike will do 10 to 15 miles on the flat on throttle. Here with me on it would simply grind to a halt on most routes I do.

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

It isn't about me and what my bike can achieve. You said your bike will cover 50 miles on throttle alone, but you haven't actually put it to the test. Go out and find your 65 kg rider and put it to the test.

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

Like I said I'd struggle to do 50 miles on 20 ah, that's 2 batteries, and even when they were new. Now it's sounding like you plucked the 50 miles without pedalling from fresh air, which I knew you had anyway.

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

No, I've no experience with DD hub motors, but imagine a single speed (for the gears) one will be the most reliable if his terrain suits it. I'd have two bikes for that mileage so one is always ready to go when the other requires maintenance.

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

I don't doubt it, but that wasn't my point. I struggle to get 50 miles from 20 ah with some serious hard pedalling on my part, so how you can think anyone can get 50 miles on 15 ah without pedalling I don't know? perhaps it's sales patter?

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

ah, that adds a slightly different perspective I think, I'll have to take your word for that one.

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

another very very bold claim, guess that's also for pan flat windless conditions

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

That's a very very bold claim, is that at 4 mph on a pan flat route with zero wind then?

    London to Brighton

I fondly remember those days when they were 6 years old. now at 12 years old I need to work very very hard on full power to keep up. As you can see here he goes rather well for a 12 year old https://www.strava.com/activities/924783027 and his sister goes just as well at 10 years old...

    Strava Live Segments

I've stopped listing my rides as e-bike at the moment, I just tick the hide from leader board tab, not sure if that is also possible on a phone as well though?
