    Upgrading brakes on converted bike

the brake sensor on the GSM is a 2-pin microswitch. If you fit hydraulic brakes, you should make a new sensor yourself with one of these molded reed switches, much easier to glue in place. Depending on how you are going to arrange the magnet, you may need a NC reed...

    Leaving the EU

@blewit so getting out of the EU will stop the rise of Germany or the future rapprochement of Germany and Russia?

Hill climbing with throttle kalkhoff alternative

if your wife tires easily, a torque sensor is not going to help. I would suggest the Santana2. Lightweight, good suspension, good brakes, Bafang BPM motor, long range, simple controls and a twist and go throttle. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?santana2

    Hello

both the woosh Petite and Santana2 have 17" frame size.

    Hello

you are 5ft4, you will be comfortable with both 24" and 26" bikes. Beside the Petite, the woosh Santana2 has 26" wheels and a more powerful BPM motor, more suitable for a confident cyclist and very hilly terrains while the Petite is better for stability and shorter arm reach...

    Woosh ZEPHYR-CDN

I would keep it like it is because it looks great and advertise it on the woosh website for free. They usually sell within a couple of weeks, some even in a couple of days. Price wise, start at £425 - it may go at £400.

    Warranty advice

I see the problem now. May be you should consider another low step bike like this Carrera Crossfire-E, much easier to fit the child seat to.

    Warranty advice

Warranty covers only manufacturing faults under normal use. IIRC, I read somewhere that the total weight (bike + rider + luggage, in this case, your child and seat) is limited to 115kgs and the weight on the rack limited to 25kgs. From the Cube handbook:

    Leaving the EU

if he is as good as he thinks he is, he should be richer than Donald Trump by now. As a country, we recycle 2 trillions a year and end up with 74 billions deficit. Reality is a lot tougher and more complicated than the back of his envelope. Companies put their expansion on hold, people lose...

    Leaving the EU

depends on what you think the rest of of have a lot to gain. Our special friends will probably keep their manufacturing here but certainly move their banks to Frankfurt. We've swallowed our pride to stay in the EU club because we are economically better off in than out, ergo when we get out, the...

    Leaving the EU

from the link above: I wouldn't knock it. They are very beneficial to the economy. In fact, EU workers are not the majority of workers born outside the UK, that honour goes to Asians. Of those who come from the EU, many are graduates. They work hard (80% in employment against UK 73%) and we...

    Leaving the EU

we can cope as individuals with either outcome but as a country, the loss of income and opportunities are much more difficult to deal with. Our government is already 74 billions in the red this year. Brexit will add possibly 30 billions to that in a year or two. The resulting cuts will hurt the...

From Zephyr to Big Bear maybe?

one solution is to ask Woosh to swap your wheel set for a Santana2 wheel set which is rear driving.

    Torque Figures for comparison

there is no easy way to compare torque figures between motors, especially if they are of different types, eg direct drive against internally geared against crank drive. This is because you have to take into account the RPM and efficiency of that particular measurement. As d8veh pointed out...

Mid crank drive motor - what type of gears are best?

my preference is for a hub gear if you live in a very hilly area, otherwise, 2-speed SRAM Automatix. No grease, no chain coming off, no need for any looking after and in the case of the Automatix, no adjustment, no cable either, totally automatic.

    New Gtech ebike

it's a light assist bike, the battery is adequate for most people. I see the single gear the only weakness of the Gtech. Not suitable for hilly areas.
