    Test

ah.. have already the solution: in your BOSCH 2.6Ah there are Samsung INR18650 used (so 20 of them as 10s2p) here a diagramm of the Samsung-cells of your bosch-pack: http://www.rc-network.de/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=119253&d=1198948134 so: 13A continouse is ok for a single cells...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

@jimmyengland1000: it says on the Gruberwebpage: 4,5 Ah / 30 V and 1000g light sounds not much, but with the power-ASSIST (and not moped-like) drivestyle this should give 45min long FULL power (200Watt) when considering how you drive such a bike (in the woods, offroad, up steep hills, down...

    Electric Push Trailer

thx... wow.. i hope there is somewhere a cheaper source... the rim alone costs more than the whole trailer sofar !!! 1.) the trailer does not need to carry more than 30kg.. so no ultra-strong rims are needed 2.) the torque from the motor will also be limited (not that much grip on the...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

i think its this way: there is a free-wheel: the freewheel (you can see it on the video) is between the 90°-gearing and the planetary-gearing so: the 90°-gearing is spinning always when the pedals are turning... the freewheel is there, so you can pedal yourself when motor is not turning...

Gruberassist: lightest and most invisible electric drive for all bikes -> WOW !!

you speak German ? well.. he fixes his comment for example on the fact, that batteries are too expensive.. 720 Euro well to face this: i personally do not need a battery for 50km.. two DEWALT-A123 Fepo4 packs with 36V and together 4.6Ah with 1450g weight would cost me together only 200 Euro...

Gruberassist: lightest and most invisible electric drive for all bikes -> WOW !!

*gg* yeah.. thats a monster... still -> compared to some hub-motors not realy that heavy... ;) but no, i hope that the 350g light motor would be enough... in the moment i have already some projects in mind.. another one is this: powercroco 24N28P 6530 it has an kv of only 77rpm/Volt...

Gruberassist: lightest and most invisible electric drive for all bikes -> WOW !!

yeah.. not power is the problem... rpm is.. and gearing of 1:60 single stage is barley possible ;( and always combined with noise i hope my trailer will work with single gearing... it has only 16" wheel, so the wheel spins faster --> good motor: i think i will try first something like...

Gruberassist: lightest and most invisible electric drive for all bikes -> WOW !!

indeed.. you are right.. ;) the predator would be a little bigger and 500g heavier.. the Terminator has only - i think - 920g however: of course, the price is very high (nevertheless cheaper than this 2000 Euro Gruber-thing ;) ) just wanted to say, that for the weight more power than...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

question is (for me) just for interest: which bike (lets say hub-driven) can you use for 30% hills (without burning) ? is there any ? and: does the same bike go well at speeds over 30km/h as well ? ;)

Gruberassist: lightest and most invisible electric drive for all bikes -> WOW !!

hi flecc.. yes.. from technical standpoint (many many involved gears, small fast spinning motor -> but low rpm needed) makes this all not ideal.. than the noise.. nono.. the cool thing is, how invisible the motor is mounted.. and also not bad, how light the whole thing is.. i think there is...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

just found on the gruber-webpage in a review: english: first colume: without gruberass, the once in brackets () are with gruber ass. drivetime: 1:33:04h (1:15:33h including a pause for battery-change) average speed: 19.9km/h (24.4km/h) used energy for the biker: 906kcal (737 kcal) pulsrate...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

no, iam not thinking of adding speed.. speed:needed Power is not linear... so: when going 30% faster on a partikular section my riding-time for the whole course will maybe 10% faster, but i would need 50% more energy.. you know what i mean ? (values just from my mind, no real facts) i would...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

yes.. for THAT price they want for the set (~2000 Euro !!) i think there are few people to buy this.. than there is the downside with the noise it makes... i think when i go up to our castle (the rout i like most): which bike would you recommend? (there is a 31% hill, just to mention ;) ) i...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

@flecc: i don´t know if you know this already: John Tetz Low Weight, Low Power E – ASSIST Recumbent Trike but this is, how i want to be my bike... the problem with all that small motors -> they spin fast -> they need gearing -> they are not quiet at all ;( you know my SRam Sparc...

    New BB drive (retro fit)

hi Flecc... in the manuel you can see: the batterypack (30V) has an 10A fuse.. so: we know -> there is for sure never more than 300Watt out of the battery and because you don´t want to fuse the fuse all time, i think you should also stay away from the 300Watt -> so the 200Watt they say...

hi Planky.. other example: Kontronik FUN 480-55: Fun480 Kontronik Brushless Motoren Measurements: 28mm diameter, 50mm long rated: up to 50A continouse (~500Watt continouse) up to 90A short (~15 seconds, thats are ~1000Watt) however there is one thing to considere: on the bike this...

oh.. damn.. sorry i was so euphoric when reading all this i had to post (before using the search-engine.. have seen now, that it was already mentioned  ) "normal" electric bikes all have a little bit the taste of seniors-bikes or bikes for disabled... the 20 year old mountainbike of...
