    Hailong HL1 36v Batteries - on/off switch - yes or no?

You're correct that the ground (black) goes to the pin one down from the one that shows low voltage. The red obviously goes to the pin adjacent to it going in the direction of higher voltage. Before you connect, check your two pins with a voltmeter to see that they're definitely the correct way...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

They're not stopping at the moment. They're just making it more difficult and expensive. All new cars from next year onwards must be fitted with a remote shut-down device. Go figure. Also, the first thing they did when they started the Oxford 15 minute city experiment was to put barriers across...

Yes. It.ll be fine as long as you help it to start, but always noisier than with sensors. It's not too difficult to replace the halls and they only cost pence, so if you find that what you have becomes intolerable, you can open the motor to see what's wrong and replace the halls if necessary...

They didn't tell me until after my order was confirmed. You must have had the same message and ignored it or didn'tcommitit to memory. Bad luck.

OK. That's bad. If you had any other controller it probably wouldn't work at all. I'm pretty sure that the self-learning detected nothing happening with the halls, so hswitched to sensorless mode. Where did the motor come from? It's interesting that one is stuck on high and the others low and...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Hmmm! How do you measure hundreds of tons of emissions. Did they scoop them up into big balloons and weigh them? I'm going to guess that they're modelled, based on complex algorithms that have similar accuracy to the 500,000 covid deaths predicted by "Professor" Neil Ferguson of Imperial College...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

I just went out to the shop and saw a neighbour in her front garden. I've never spoken to her before, so I stopped to introduce myself and have a chat. She lives on her own and still drives out of necessity. Quite quickly, she mentioned that she was worried about the restrictions that the...

You need to watch the video. What you're saying is irrelevant. The original purpose was to raise money; however, Geoff is talking about the ULEZ expansion, which Khan justified on the basis of air quality.

The lid is only temporary to check that the cell-pack and BMS fits. The lid will have a stepped extension that will include the charge socket and main cable exit. I gave up on the idea of a removable battery because it's safer to charge outside, and everyone has an extension lead. Also, it's...

Eire is part of the EEC, therefore ebikes are regulated by EN15194, which was changed to allow 4 wheels. The Amazon trucks don't have number plates in UK mainland and wouldn't need them in any EEC countries nor the other countries that adopted EN15194 as their standard. N. Ireland is a bit of an...

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

That's not what Geoff is saying. He says that the justification for ULEZwas air quality. He believes that the undisclosed aims were to raise money, like a London tax, and to discourage people from using their cars. The measured data shows no change in air quality since they expanded ULEZ, even...

It's possible that your sensors are not working. That would explain why your controller might be working in sensorless mode. We need to be sure about whether they work or not before we can choose the route to a solution. That's why the test results need to be definitive.

Yes, you can get what you want by adjusting the controller. Let's just set the groundwork: There's a maximum current that your battery can give safely. We have no idea what it is and how much it's giving. Typically, your controller would be around 15A, and most batteries can give 20A. If you...

The law changed 8 years ago to allow 4 wheels. Amazon and the Post Office use 4-wheel 250w trucks to deliver some of their stuff. The 250w motors in them can deliver around 3kw, which translates to be able to drag 500kg up a 16% hill. You can have as much power as you need and still be legal if...

What about the blue wire? From what you've said, somethings not right. There should be a connector from the motor with red, black, blue, yellow and green wires. You measure the blue, yellow and green ones. Did you turn the wheel backwards?
