Are you sure the geared rear hub is strong enough for a mid drive? Would front drive be an option, then you can keep the geared rear hub and have no extra load on it. Good to see another wanting a "vintage" electric. I've just scored a very old child seat for my vintage conversion.

I gather that you use PAS only to use the bike as you have setting p10 set to 0? If so, I suggest setting p13 from 8 to 5. This will give the controller the appearance you are pedaling faster than you actually are and should enable full speed.

e7 is hall effect sensor fail or not connected. if your motor doesn't have hall sensors, you cant get rid of this code.

You dont need a speed wire to get speed. Just adjust the wheel diameter setting (p6) or speedo % adjust (p18). This will give speed when the motor is powered up only.

pas as in is the assistance you can set 1-5 or 1-9? I Initially had E07 before I had the hall effect sensors plugged in. it wasnt really a prpblem but it means the display cant display km traveled as the error code is displayed on that part of the screen.
