Getting back on topic, I wore out the freewheel pawls on my bbs01. My lbs matched up a dtswiss onyx pawl, which have been fitted & working perfectly ever since . The same pawls have gone on my bbs02 as well (& Q128c too)...

Don't be afraid to cut the cables Heat shrink & solder to reconnect. I use front derailleur cable frame attachment points to route the (shortened) cable towards the handlebars.

Well the kt controllers hold one key advantage over standard bbs - they won’t almost immediately fail if one of the connected hall sensors (throttle, brake, speed sensor) go awry.
