    8 to 12 magnet PAS

A bit of basic geometry will tell you that 12 magnets is going to give quicker start up than 8. One third quicker to be exact. It greatly improved my riding experience. A 10 magnet disk would also be a 20% improvement. Once you are actually turning the pedals at normal cadence there is no...

    PAS vs Throttle (battery usage)

I am guessing they are only using the throttle when going downhill...

    Harsh change back derailleur

GSM = Chinese mid motor kit sold by Woosh. I rode mine for a while unrestricted and it was quite amusing having a bike that would give a kick of acceleration even in the top gears when at full power. I think Yamaha might use some kind of gear change sensor similar to the way Bosch do it. But it...

No that was another generation, you have me confused with someone else. Tip: racists don't settle in far off countries. All of my children are French BTW...

    Harsh change back derailleur

They are right, you shouldn't do that. Yes it should, consumer level derailleurs aren't up to all those Watts coming down the drive train. Don't worry we all do it sometimes - you should try with an unrestricted GSM at full power

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Oooo don't get your knockers in a knot! I found the born in the EU bit a bit of a lark nothing more. How many of those players play in the UK? And stop thinking, you'll end up hurting yourself.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

And just look where some of them were born: Everything about Bradley Wiggins is so quintessentially British. But, alas, our hero on two wheels was born in Ghent, Belgium, to an Australian father who was based in the Flemish outback. Gasp! Born in the EU! I chose a cyclist because that is what...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That isn't exactly what I was listening to in 1976, especially in London... I'm not even sure I knew there was a eurovision at that time? Oh yeah I watched TV, I even accidentally saw the infamous Sex Pistols interview on the Beeb.

No they won't, there is already an anti-populist movement building in France too, not only in Italy.

    Rear Panniers

They are all strong enough to carry a battery - even my +6 kg 20 Ah monster battery from hell :) I agree that battery pouch is cute, but totally un-necessary don't get hung up on it being essential. I destroyed a lesser budget pannier, two even, carrying my battery before switching to Ortleib...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

For the billions maybe you should ask the Welsh what they think of the regional development fund. Oh sorry you did and they don't want the billions, silly me... The rules on human rights, the environnement and workers rights you will have to accept one way or the other if you want to trade with...

The populists already say a whole lot of cr@p but just look where that has gotten them in Italy. Maybe le mot du jour could be "Unpopular Populists"?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am really starting to like the idea of a core EU made up of Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Spain. A federation with tighter fiscal and economic policy (including social security and minimum wage regulations) but retaining state governance over local issues. This federation...

    Rear Panniers

I worried about the rear light being hidden until I lent the bike to my GF and watched her ride off then passed her in the car and the light remains visible through a large enough arc from the rear. I have had occasional heel strike because I use huge ergotec pedals and if my feet are not far...

    Rear Panniers

Why would you buy an e-Mate rather than a cheaper Ortlieb pannier? I got a pair of back roller city for less than the price of one of those! I carry my batteries in them too - just not in a fancy useless battery bag... I have a pair of Sport Roller City on the trike, they would work with a 20"...
