Bafang BBS02 (B) battery wire guage

OK, understood, but if the 30cm motor cable is 18AWG (I'm not saying it is), whats the point of making a short 12AWG to connect to it?

Bafang BBS02 (B) battery wire guage

I know this, but the motor already comes with cable which is terminated inside the case somewhere, you appear to be suggesting opening it up and replacing the whole length.

Harness cable is also 60mm shorter and when you have a custom top harness cable with only the connectors you want and spot on length, it's a pain in the backside.

Bafang BBS02 (B) battery wire guage

Ah, that's more comforting, I wanted to test with crimps on before stripping cable (warranty), so tricky to measure the bare diameter, like I said 2.5mm with plastic sheath, so looks OK.

Bafang BBS02 (B) battery wire guage

What do you mean, "You use" ? Why change what comes with the motor, you would have to crank it open and change it, mine comes with around 30cm terminated with crimped bullet connectors. Black and Red cables are 2.5mm diameter (including sheath) - not sure how that would relate to AWG unless I...

Bafang BBS02 (B) battery wire guage

Because I wish to build a new ebike, replace a faulty magnetic cadence disc and circuit, have a smooth Lake Constance trip (shortly) and have a 'B' version, I purchased a replacement BBS02B 36v 500w for my current (only flaky up very steep hills pulling high amps on assist only) version one...

Got the dual kit disc and circuit from GreenBikeKit for <$25. Arrived in 12 days. Looks good - now to fit.........

Ta, Eclipse guys sent the same picture and stated they knew of examples of this fault and symtons. Who stock this?

This is what my two retaining bolts looked like, half way out. I suspect this is what the juddering was, although it felt tight rocking by hand, the torque from the motor was rocking it backward and forwards a couple of millimeters, still unsure why the throttle wasn't doing it though...

I had to reset them them earlier today anyway, the Eggrider app is so buggy at this first release it wrote current and speed assist settings in series rather than parallel resulting in every even assist being correct and every odd assist (1,3,5,7,9) being 100%, damn strange test ride I can tell...

Now you're just being silly, of course not, but the settings really are fine, they were good for a year before juddering started. Interesting that it started after a long layoff over the winter, although my garage is dry as a bone, no moisture, probably only drifted under 0 degrees a few times...

Yep, cannot repeat the juddering using the throttle.

Seen a few strip down video's, but haven't seen this PAS sensor disc yet on any BBS01/02. Can you give us a clue/Pics where this is located?

Diconnected throttle, still juddering. 99% sure now it's only PAS. After putting throttle back, I throttled full power and got 800W for a second and smooth as silk, but PAS above about 600W and the juddering kick in.

Will do. I still haven't downloaded the blutooth app yet which connect to it, but once done can program from phone on the go just like the BafangConfigTool windows software along with usb/serial cable. I am also sure Bafang have their own similar device and bluetooth app coming out, but probably...

Thanks, I'll check this soon, sounds the most likely, except the bafang is not any clever torque sensor, just a cadence sensor I understand, so if cracked or broken why logically does it only affect high amps, not high cadence.

    Bafang BBS02 Stutter

Yes, PAS cutting in and out a few times per second causing a juddering effect, seems too even to be cabling, more like controller, still testing. I don't get out enough to see if it's getting worse yet.

Just got the new Eggrider V2 which replaces the display and buttons, so will check the switch. My boom is a custom made one of specific length and no brake connectors ( found a company a couple of years ago doing this ) has been brilliant so far.

The new battery has a different mount, so the same power cable from the motor was used, the only change is the 4 inches or so of cable from the battery mount connectors to a terminal block inside the mount (same method as previously) and the issue is on both old and new batteries. I intend to...
