Hydrogen pedelec rental in Biarritz (hopefully)

I'm on the front line at the moment, literally. Police vs Black Blocks match due to start any time soon. The company has a contract with la poste and in that context hydrogen works - canisters can be left along the mail run if it is long. As for 250 W it is steeper where I live than in...

    LCD display fading

Going out on a limb here but I think those ones with the buttons in the box may be less water resistant than the LCD-3 with separate buttons. Mine have taken a shower many a time with no apparent water ingress.

    LCD display fading

They are easy to open, the screws are under potting compound, you have to gouge that out first. Look inside, dry it out, try it and if it fails bin it and replace.

The development of the brand new 2020 Wispers... in Pictures!

Supported in front by the aluminium mudguard. Often these type of carriers are limited to 15 kg instead of 25 kg. I am about to break my piggy bank for one of these - https://www.herkelmannbikes.com/shop/wingee/ I just noticed the price is down 40€ since the last time I looked!

    Max amps

5.95 Amps because when you charge the battery it is charged to 42v! ;) The "Ignored Member" is here on a mission, not to help. When I figured that out I clicked the magic "ignore" button and threads are much cleaner of useless nonsense now...

Choosing a BMS for self made battery

If you have a 15 Amp controller you want a 20 Amp BMS and if you have a 20 Amp controller a 30 Amp one. The little bit of overhead prevents the BMS from starving the controller in very rare critical situations (it has only ever happened to me a handful of times). 15 Amps / 4 (4P10S) each series...

Help! New to pedelecs build specification requirements.

About 160W on the upright and 200W on the bent (feet clipped in), 76 kg in fighting fit form up to 79 kg in the off season, plus bike, plus a couple of panniers with gear and shopping so up to 120 kg total. Mountainous... There is a stretch of main road I ride often that is 13% in places. I...

    Underground bike garage, 1700 bikes

I don't know if you all saw this news snippet go by: https://bicycledutch.wordpress.com/2019/08/07/an-underground-bicycle-parking-garage-in-amsterdam/ Now that is an infrastructure investment if ever there was! Surface parking spots reserved for cargo bikes and three wheelers.

Help! New to pedelecs build specification requirements.

My first conversion would probably have fitted your specs except for range, it had a finished weight of 20.7kg battery included. I used a Mxus XF08 similar to the one Woosh sells - mine was the freewheel version. With a rear hub motor you can use a 3x9 cassette so gearing for riding un-powered...

Who makes those rear mudguards? Where can I buy one for a 26" tyre?

    Trailer for heavy loads.

I have one of the 70€ amazon sold Chinese steel trailers and have carried over 50 kg of stuff back from the garden center without the tyres and tubes going pop. flecc has/had one of those which he modified to carry bulky loads, there are pictures on here somewhere.

    Trailer for heavy loads.

Are the quick release axles holding up OK? I am looking at one of the eyewateringly expensive Munich made trailers. I won't be hauling 50kg though. A lot of this cost is in the custom made aluminum boxes they use. The same style of box can be found for lots less money but not at the exact...

Does anyone know the spec of the Woosh TSDZ2 kit,

Some of us have the experience of 10.4 Ah batteries suffering after being used with a mid-motor. I don't think they (mid-motors) draw more current than a hub motor but they seem to ramp up the power much more quickly and the cells in your 10.6 Ah battery won't like that very much... I get around...

    Kalkhoff

3 years you can pretty much bank on needing a new battery. lots of people have had problems with the impulse motor but if it has 10 k on the clock - original motor - it might be one of the few good ones that left the factory. Try and negotiate the price down because of the battery and the...

    Bafang crank arms by Lekkie

For the price they should be! For roughly the same price you can get Miranda crank arms (made in the EU) and for much less money Shimano ones which all improve the Q factor on my GSM (bbs01 clone).

    KT LCD-3 "00 info" error

Does anyone have a reference for the error code in the title? It isn't in the list of error codes in my LCD-3 documentation, that starts at "01 info". I have a sneaking suspicion it might be water ingress but where, controller or motor halls... I have had it more and more frequently over the...

    500w Motor Question

Here is the speed per RPM for various wheel sizes post from ES: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16114 If you look at the specs for your motor it will indicate an unloaded RPM and a loaded RPM. The chart will tell you how fast your motor will go on the flat with no wind and an...

    battery indicator help

24v x 16 Ah = 384 Wh You will be using a certain number of Wh/km (mile if you must...), 10 Wh/km is a pretty common number for an average rider so you will get about 38 km from your fully charged battery. I am a relatively strong rider and I get 7.5 Wh/km on my upright pedelec but 5.25 Wh/km...
