The problem with E-bikes in the UK.

as usual the government has done a very poor job of coming up with a standardised system across the country. Just seems like a big free for all with no real direction. They have done the same with electric smart meters. On changing supplier it is unlikely the meter will work, They are rubbish...

The problem with E-bikes in the UK.

Flecc I really like the idea of an electric car and for my purpose and mileage it would be perfect. Where I think that the major problem lies is with the recharging infrastructure. It may be very good in a city like London but out in the sticks is probably way behind.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

OG how do you expect people to read these treaties and make sense of them. Even politicians don't understand them. That's why they have advisers and lawyers to decipher them. Maybe we shoild all have read the Mastricht treaty or the Lisbon one, but then again they were just rammed down our...

Why is it the truth. We were told it meant leaving to SM and the CU. It was in the dodgy leaflet sent out and it was stated in many TV interviews, by leaders

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Interesting chat about this on Thursday when Alistair Campbell was extolling the virtues of a second vote saying that the Gov should take notice of it. He was reminded by Andrew Neal that when Labour were in government of which he was a part that 1.5 million people demonstrated against going to...

    Bike repair stand

i got the Lidl one. It is ok but I have found it difficult to tighten it up sufficiently to hold the weight of bike and it spins towards the motor. My son has a Park tools one which is much more substantial, and expensive. I suppose it depends how much it's used

how does a fresh GE solve the problem. It would still exist, so all you can mean is that the vote of millions of people would become irrelevant and Brexit cancelled. Or is that a wrong interpretation

Step-thru, good torque hub motor, £1200 limit option

I don't personally think that hydraulic brakes are a necessity. They are undoubtedly easier to maintain and have more stopping power, but if you are only tootling along at a steady 12 to 15 mph and not riding steep descents cable ones are adequate

    Battery security - in-frame designs?

I suppose these type of batteries are limited to use with the bikes they are designed for, so maybe not very tempting steal.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

OG I agree with you. It was Blair who wante\d everyone to go to university. I suppose a good way to keep them off unemployment figures. As you say they were conned and in the real world would have been a lot better learning a trade but were led to believe there was a pot of gold at the end

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think the problem is the way our political parties a lot of them are at Uni until 20 plus then they want a gap year to go travelling. Might start work at 23/ 24. I'd been at work nearly 10 years by then. Is it any wonder they can't afford a house. What annoys me is that they talk as if we...

And then the Tories will have to clear up the mess that Labour have made with their unrealistic policies, and be made to look the bad guys. They will be in power for 2 terms and just as things are on the up they will get voted out Labour will get in and the cycle will start again.
