    sudden power loss

happy to say this has now been sorted. Turned out it was some magnet not picking up the sensor. So now refurbished with new controller and pedal sensor and I think wiring loom. A big thanks to the team at oxygen cycles at Rotherham for their efforts in getting it done. And at a very fair price...

    sudden power loss

this is turning into a bit of a mystery. Has been in for repair for about 2 weeks and they have tried everything without success. New controller new led panel, new pedal sensor and as a last resort a new wiring loom. The motor works with the throttle but not the pedal sensor. It's so baffling...

Pleasant ride, sunshine but something missing?

I think that a bell should be fitted by law when you buy the bike

Push mowers the future for me

I have a push mower (brill) and it is excellent. I have also been using an electric Atco Windsor after increasing my lawn, very good but very heavy, so have recently bought a cordless one from Aldi for £130. So far so good

    gears

thanks for all replies. I have only 7 on Freego Eagle which have been enough for the riding I have been doing , mainly old railway lines so nice and flat. However I would want to be varying it a bit with more hills so I think the gears may be handy

    gears

looking at possibly buying a new bike (oxygen) . It has 21 gears. Just wondering what the view is on having the extra gears on ebike. Is there any benefit. I notice that a lot of the Kudos bikes have extra gears. regards gray

    sudden power loss

Yes probably on its last legs, but not bad for six years old. I am considering selling bike if I can get it working at a reasonable cost. Still think there are a few miles in it yet. Rest of his is good

    sudden power loss

took it to South Yorks Electric cycles. Very helpful. Are going to fit me a new controller. Tested battery which is 16A, and that is showing 10A. Not bad after 6 years While there been trying an oxygen step through type. Very nice bike at a good price. Very tempted.

    sudden power loss

Thanks for your help. I have checked the wires and connectors and all seem well. Spoken to Freego and they feel it could be controller which they have in stock but £70. Anywhere to get one cheaper or go with that. thanks gray

    sudden power loss

well it seems that I was a bit hasty. When I put the junction box back together it stopped working again.. Thinking it may have been a loose wire in there I have rechecked but all seem ok. Battery seems to be ok as the wired in light is working fine. Seems like the problem is elsewhere. I have...

    sudden power loss

I have got it working again. The connector plug near the motor must have worked loose. When I pushed on it it worked again. Just need to check that it is seated properly and hopefully all is well. Just shows, check the simple things first. Thanks for help from d8veh and nealh regards

    sudden power loss

disconnected throttle but no change. Could it be a fault in led panel

    sudden power loss

from your reply it would seem that its not the fuse as the led lights are on. I only have the front brake connected to brake sensor and as power went off after using it I thought it could be that but no joy. Will disconnect throttle and see what happens. Just took battery off something is...

    sudden power loss

when if first failed, I tried the throttle which worked for a while but then that stopped as well. Don't know if that is significant. Is there a fuse anywhere to check first or failing that are there any likely causes. How do I test using multimeter??. thanks gray

    sudden power loss

out today on Freego Eagle when power suddenly cut out. Battery fully charged and was showing all lights. Luckily I was not too far from home. Wondered if it may be the brake cutout sticking but disconnecting did not make any difference. What can I do to try and find fault bearing in mind that I...
