You have a bicycle with low gearing. It's designed for pedalling up hills with an average power input of about 200W. You can put any 250W to 500W geared cassette hub-motor in the rear I'd you use at least one torque arm and maybe file the drop-outs a bit deeper. If it's climbing ability that...

You can't use a different charger on a Yamaha battery for the same reason. There is a way that involves using an Arduino to send the correct code. You can also use that to fool the controller into using any battery. All details are on the German Pedelecs forum, where there are wiring diagrams...

I found that a high via jacket in the daytime was like an invisibility cloak. It got to the point where I was scared to wear it. At big-time, it was the opposite. The shining reflective strips seemed to scare drivers, so they wouldn't overtake me, which was really annoying.

    36v in place of 24v

Normally, replacement batteries come with a new aluminium strip and base to match the battery. Did you buy a used battery?

Problem with finding battery/kit to fit small frame 14". Need some help :(

Hub-motors won every year they did it. In fact, I'm pretty sure that they won every single event. IIRC, a Bromptom with an ordinary QWSXK5 motor running at 48v won in the penultimate year. The Oxygen MTB with a Bafang CST motor won the last event.

    Measuring Amps on a Multimeter

It'll work exactly the sane as a scooter then if you use the same voltage and current, with adjustment for mass.

The yamaha system uses comms between the battery and controller, which is what the grey wire is for. You can't make it work without a Yamaha battery unless you replace the motor controller with a standard dumb one. There is a lot of good info about it here...

For off-road hill climbing, you need a crank-motor, not a hub-motor. You need to explain why you need that much power. The weight and size of the battery will work against you. Also, you couldn't have chosen a worst bike for conversion regarding the gears. Your rear gears won't fit on a 3000w...

    Easi-fit Ebike front hub kit

He gave no link to the kit and no link to the bike. That's why nobody replied. General feelings about Pashley bikes are that they're difficult to convert, so why choose one of them to do the trip on, and second thing is that there are many pifalls when installing a front motor. I cringe when I...

    Measuring Amps on a Multimeter

Scooters have smaller wheels, so the motor is effectively geared down. Efficiency is one of the main characteristics that affects hill-climbing. A motor has a maximum rpm that depends on how it's wound and what voltage you give it. At 75% of the motor's max rpm, it'll have an efficiency of...

Problem with finding battery/kit to fit small frame 14". Need some help :(

That's rubbish. It depends what type of hub motor, what speed it's wound for, how much current you give it it and at what voltage it runs. You're making sweeping statements based on very limited knowledge. We used to get a lot of myths like that spread on this forum about ten years ago, but they...

    New build trek navigator

The controller can be set to speed control or power control for the PAS. If you can reach it wit LCD 1, it's P3=1 for power control. if set to speed control, you get full power on all levels, which won't be too fantastic.

    Cyclematic powerplus

The one in that listing is the same size as the Cyclamatic controller, so will fit without problem. I would never advise someone to buy a KT controller with a 890 LED display. the phto of your bike seems to show an LCD3! Whatever you have, an alternative solution is to put the controller in a...

My First Electric Kit Conversion 250W

It depends what you mean by out-perform. What if the bike is loaded with a heavy load and heavy rider? What about on steep hills? Whatabout moise? My Dahan cruises happily at 22 mph, even up slight hills, without pedalling. I average 14 mph on my road bike that has carbon frame.

    Cyclematic powerplus

I've used a bit of old inner tube and a cable-tie. Only tie it tightly at the top, so that water can easily drain out if it gets in. What controller have you got? The normal 15A KT sinewave one fits in there with all the connectors. In case you don't know, you'll probably have to flip the PAS...
