Any one that doesn't have 12 in the designation.

From memory, the battery has multiple pins that are used by the charger and for a diagnostic device, but it only connects to the controller with two wires, which means that the battery is dumb in that respect. The controller is conventional, not part of the battery, and it's 20A - Santroll, I...

    Building an off-road all-terrain wheelchair

Which 500w motor are you planning to use? Most would be too fast at 36v if you want walking pace. That would mean that they'd lack torque and overheat.

    Mtb Conversion

All motors are much of a muchness. I wouldn't say that Bafang are not amongst the best. Before anybody can give advice, you need to tell us about your requirements. How fast, how powerful, wheel size, etc? Why do yo want a front motor rather than a rear one? What sort of forks do you have? Are...

That doesn't make sense. You're hiding some information. The LCD works on battery voltage. How can it know that the battery has been changed? Is the missing info that the battery was changed from 10S to 12S or 13S?

Why do you need connectors? Can't you just solder the wires together?

    Discrimination against bicycles

Interesting. I haven't been to a McD since at least 20 years ago, and that was only because the kids on the school trip wouldn't eat foreign food. When I was younger, I used to like KFC. A couple of years ago, they had an advert on TV showing sticky barbecue chicken with a special discount that...

HELMETS - but different this time

You know thats just a welded up piece of art made out of recycled car parts and completely non-fuctional? What would you do with it for £300K. It's a bit expensive for a boat anchor.

HELMETS - but different this time

Wishful thinking. Everybody will get old and have problems that need sorting by the NHS - some sooner than other. It's a bit like all the lives they saved by stopping smoking. How many of them are never going to die? All this does is shift the problem from one place/time to another. Some are...

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

Your motor has hall sensors, but no speed sensor, so you'll have to add a wheel magnet type sensor to your kit. The sine wave version of the controller will be fine.

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

When it doesn't get a pulse from the speed sensor, it defaults to using the motor halls for a speed signal or maybe it uses the back emf pulses, as it can run sensorless so already has a way of using them for timing. Either way, your problem is that it's not using the speed sensor.

    Mxus xf08c Hall sensors

It's P07, which should be 1 or 6 depending on how many magnets are in the moroe. I think it's only Bafang that use 6, so probably 1. You'll see on the speed display if you got it right because, you get a factor of 6 difference in speed displayed. Check that the white wire is actually pulsing...

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

Avoid LCD5. it doesn't give access to all settings. I've not tried the LCD9, but I'm against integrated devices in general. Also, it looks great, but does it have clearance for your brake and shifter?

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

You don't need brake sensors with a KT controller. I've never had them on my bike and I don’t miss them. You can always buy some in the future if you feel you need them, or coose the hydraulic brake switches, which you can fit to any brakes. You might want to think about upgrading your brakes to...

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

It looks complicated, but it's dead simple when you've got it figured out. You need to be able to solder wires, which is not difficult. You'll probably need some heatshrink tube too...

    Broken phase wires

The way to repair it is to pull the wire through, cut off the damaged bit and desolder it from the motor, then solder on the good bit. it'll make the cable about8" shorter. That's not normally a problem, but if it is, you'd have to extend the other end. You cannot crimp phase wires unless you...

    Cyclematic powerplus

You probably have the wrong connection sequence. The wires don't necessarily go colour to colour when you fit a different controller. You need to go through all combinations of three phase wires and 3 hall wires, which makes 36 possibilities of which three will work correctly and three will turn...
