    Replace freehub or wheel?

Nice thought! Did you not wonder about that after your free-hub failed? What do all the guys who fit 1000w BBSHD crank motors use? I'll tell you. Standard bicycle parts, which is all you need. You can fit any wheel you want that has the right rim size, the right drop-out width, the right axle...

    Split pedal assist magnet disc

It takes less than a minute to get the crank off - probably quicker than messing about with one of those split magnet discs. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VGEBY1-Crank-Removal-Tool-Maintenance-Removal-Kit-Hand-Tools-Crank-Arm-Puller/402582399795?hash=item5dbbc7eb33:g:B54AAOSwuxJfwtha

    Battery longevity

Some chargers latch off when they give the green light, so you can leave them on all the time. The cheap Chinese ones generally don't, but there are exceptions.

    Just Landed - EZEGO E-Bikes

I've not used that type of control panel before, so I'm not sure how you get into the settings. You could try all the normal ways, like press and hold both buttons for several seconds, then maybe again to get to the next level of settings.

    Peugeot City Electric Bike

There are pluses and minuses with bikes like that. Firstly, the motor is pretty weak by modern standards and it surges with each pedal stroke as you go up a hill, which is something that modern bikes don't do. I wouldn't buy it if you're heavy and/or you have steep hills. Batteries are still...

    Brainpower S866 external speed sensor

It can. Loads of people use it without any problems when they set it up right. I don't understand your first paragraph. Take the white wire from the controller and measure its voltage to ground to see if it's held high or low. If it's high (5v) tap it on a ground to see if you get a speed...

    e-Bike in Catalonian Pyrenees

I rode my bike to Morrisons today - 200ft of climbing on the way back. It was brilliant, especially the climb up the ramp to the overpass (about 20%). The three steps on the way down are pretty good too because they're on a steep ramp, so you can get up to 20 mph before you hit them.

    Brainpower S866 external speed sensor

That's interesting. I always thought that it used the hall sensors when there's no independent speed sensor. Did you check that your speed sensor is working by measuring the signal on the white wire with a voltmeter?

Advice needed- where do i stand? , 52v battery problem.

Sorry, I didn't read your post #7 properly. I read it in the context of you quoting me saying that he wouldn't be able to get a switch because of the way they operate. My statement is completely irrelevent to what you said, so you shouldn't have included it.

Great stuff, but what's the connection to OP trying to get a battery switch? I thought you were going to tell us about battery suppliers that go above and beyond because of their super-skills.

The seller wouldn't have a switch to send because, even if the seller assembled the battery, the switch is part of the case, which they'd buy in. Most sellers are resellers, so they don't do anything other than basic admin.

    Battery longevity

All batteries use standard cells, so you could find the same cells in your Bosch or Yamaha battery as a Chinese kit battery from Eclipse or Aliexpress. They all charge to 42v. I can't think of anything that the manufacturer could do to affect the battery life other than choose cells on the...
