    Shimano XT rear mech snapped

It looks like the bearings in the jockey wheel have gone, which might be the root of all your problems. You can replace the jockey wheel on its own. If the bearings are OK, just bend it straight.

I'd keep clear of that one. Nothing adds up. No motor is shown in the pictures, except on the stepthrough version. On their website, they say it has a 3 level LED display. Next to that is a picture of an LCD cycle computer (not ebike display). The description says monocoque carbon fibre forks...

After ebike conversion, has anyone had a higher rate of broken spokes or bent wheels?

I always use the cheapest rims I can find. I never had a problem with one. I've seen problems on other bikes, like rims worn through by the rim brakes, and I've seen rims with cracks around the spokes on expensive rims and also on bikes with 12g spokes.

It's the othe way round. Torque is more or less proportional to battery current, not cell current. The current is fixed to a maximum by the controller at low speed, but at normal and high speed it depends on the net voltage, which is the battery voltage minus the back emf, so a high sag battery...

Advice needed on my hub please

It's a sensored motor, so you can use the standard controller. The best controller is the KT sine wave one with LCD3 at £70. The next one down is the Brainpower one at about £40. Always buy the LCD with the controller. Don't buy a cheap controller unless that's all you can afford.

After ebike conversion, has anyone had a higher rate of broken spokes or bent wheels?

You can measure the spokes you already have. Their length will be correct. measure from the middle of the elbow to the end of the spoke - one with a thread, not a broken one.

    Wheel nuts

Every motor that I've ever seen uses the same nuts 12mm x 1.25. That includes motors that look the same as yours. Are you sure that yours are 1.00mm pitch?

The speed sensor is very sensitive to adjustment. Make sure it's exactly like it says in the instructions.

You have half as many cells in a 5Ah battery as a 10Ah one, so each cell has to give twice as much current. A 5Ah battery is probably 10S2P. A low to medium powered 36v ebike normally runs at 12 A ot 15A, so each of your cells would have to give 6A or 7.5A. If it were a 10Ah 10S4P battery, each...

Switch the battery on when you use it. Switch it off when you're finished. You don't need to switch it off for short stops, like when you're shopping. Use the control panel instead unless you feel you need extra security. I guess some people leave the battery switched on all the time and use...

After ebike conversion, has anyone had a higher rate of broken spokes or bent wheels?

After 4 spokes break, it's clear that something is wrong with your spokes or the wheel-build. It's time to respoke the wheel. I'd use 14g spokes. I normally get mine from this guy, but postage has jumped significantly, so probably time to find a UK supplier...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That's not how it works. It's basically a scheme to take money from the hedge funds. You find out what they've short traded on, then get everybody to buy the shares, which makes the price go up. Everybody that bought holds until the hedge fund is forced to close. When they close, they're forced...

Even if it worked, it would be a complete waste of time. 12A at 24v won't give you enough power to go past 15mph. Show us what control panel you have.

You must fit at least one torque arm. Make sure that the slot is 12mm x10mm, not the more common on Ebay 14mm x 10mm ones.

It depends what you mean by compatible. All sensors will work if you wire them up correctly. If you mean plug and play, you need to indicate what connectors you have and where they are.
