Do titanium handlebars absorb much shock?

Thank you, that's excatly what I was hoping to hear! If they take the jarring away from potholes a bit, it'd be well worth spending twice-ish as much as I would have on aluminium. Hope do make some very nice kit. I may transfer the conversion kit to a better bike in future, then I'd have more...

Do titanium handlebars absorb much shock?

Very nice! Seems everyone is intent on making me envious! Are those purple hubs Hopes? Just one of those costs more than my bike (before conversion) Is that because they DO flex a bit, absorb shocks a little? In your opinion, would they smooth out the jarring while going over potholes to any...

Do titanium handlebars absorb much shock?

Now YOU'RE making me envious! When hitting bumps, have you noticed your titanium handlebars wobbling a bit? It would be good if they wobbled a bit.

Aldi selling cheap camera with Sony sensor £49

Actually, the video below was shot using a cheap and common 2 year old Crosstour 4K, only 1080p. No image stabilisation, 60FPS. The scaled up screenshot of the number plate is at the end. And this is (obviously) at night. It's much easier to record clear plates of faster moving vehicles during...

Do titanium handlebars absorb much shock?

About £100 would be worth paying if they are shock absorbing. A friend of mine has a titanium framed mountain bike with no suspension, says it flexes enough to not need shock absorbers. But he could be saying that to make me envious, which is working...

Do titanium handlebars absorb much shock?

Has anyone tried titanium handlebars and if so, do they absorb much shock?

No. https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2005/2559/contents/made The regulations state that, if you choose to use flashing lights, they must flash at a frequency between 1-4hz, which is between one and four flashes per second.

It's this one, makes me far more visible on the roads at night. I particularly like that drivers mistake me for a approaching motorbike at intersections, and wait for me to pedal past. I keep it angled down towards the road, where it lights up potholes etc. very clearly. During the day I...

Are there any good inexpensive truing stands?

The LifeLine Pro Mechanic Truing Stand does look very good indeed for the money. One of the reviewers on Chainreaction complained that his flimsy lightweight "Home Mechanic" version warped in the sun.

    When to replace rims?

As I tell all the girls: 20 inches! Thank you for your kind offer, Hope do appear to make some fantastically high quality products. I expect you'd be able to sell them for quite a lot on ebay. Being a bargain basement sort of cyclist, my plan is to try a rear wheel disc conversion as cheaply...

When having to make decisions quickly while viewing a possible illegal ebike, Police probably boil down all the legal definitions of a pedelec to "Is he pedalling? No? Stop him and question!" or "Allo allo allo, is he pedalling and proceeding along the road or pavement too quickly?" ... just...

Thank you. And it's posted free from the UK! Looks just the job, and that online shop accepts Paypal. And there is also an inexpensive Lifeline dishing guage https://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-wheel-dishing-gauge-1?lang=en&curr=GBP&dest=1&sku=105345754 Lifeline also do this cheaper but...

Aldi selling cheap camera with Sony sensor £49

What I can't get my head around is why two videos I uploaded two weeks ago about a family of escooterists and a mad fat bloke on a bike got three times as many views, than my wrist-breaking badger collision video got in a year. Whether that's due to public interest or lack thereof in badgers, or...

DVSA take companies to Court for selling illegal bikes.

This happens to me all the time while I'm riding my restricted legal pedelec. Traffic islands are very frequent on too narrow roads, and cars are keen to get in front no mater how slow you're going and no matter what is coming up. I could be reporting drivers quite regularly. This time it was a...

    When to replace rims?

I guess there's not much need to true wheels when your bike has disc brakes? I may attempt converting to disc, if get the right hubs with disc connection points and using a conversion kit, building my own wheels, or get my bike shop to build after supplying all the parts.

    When to replace rims?

Were your rims metal with a ceramic coating on the braking surface? Rims which never wear out is not overkill! It's a thoroughly sensible feature. Can't see any ceramic rims on Aliexpress at all, but I did spot some carbon fibre rims for v-brakes with a basalt rim surface treatment. About £120...

    When to replace rims?

I've never heard of ceramic rims, which sound like a good idea and also quite exotic. I can't see any available to buy. Did disc brakes made them obsolete?

Are there any good inexpensive truing stands?

Unfortunately for Mr Musson, his book is illegally viewable in a Google search. His stand looks very good, but beyond my present woodworking skills. I don't mind spending about £100 for unlimited truings at home, instead of about £20 per bike shop truing.
