Bike shop that repairs/services e-bikes in the UK

You might have more luck if you can remove the wheel from the bike, then the tyre and tube and take it to a LBS to replace the broken spokes and true the wheel. I think alot are put off working on ebikes, esp. kit built ones, because they don't understand them well enough.

    What's happening at 50 Cycles?

It could be said that Derby Cycle deserve to suffer some loss from 50 Cycles demise, as I believe they also own Daum, and were responsible for the development of the Impulse 2 motor and must of played some part in the terrible way customers were treated.

Is that a word?? That adapter does fit the legal BBS01, so you're in luck.:)

You may be better off looking at a 100mm HD, but you will need a 42T Bling Ring or similar to keep a decent chainline.

    First ebike conversion.

Bafang didn't make a 100mm BBS02, Cal. Ebikes made an adapter kit, but since the release of the HD, I think these have gone out of production. I did see one for sale recently while browsing, I will try and find it. Here you go...

    Fuse Keeps Blowing...

Think about how far you want to travel on the bike. More capacity = more money. VFR's suggestion has better quality cells in it and maybe less work as long as it fits your case. The silverfish case may be more work to fit, but has the charger and new battery connectors included.

    Fuse Keeps Blowing...

I would consider buying a cheap Li-ion battery pack over new lead acid ones, as you will get much better range and reduce the weight of the bike. A silver fish case should fit were your existing pack is, although you may have to drill new fixing points to mount it...

Could someone please tell me where the "ignore thread" button has gone? I've not had to use it recently.

Wanted Chainring Adapter or Bling Ring

So, after much messing about I've ended up with a decent chain line using my existing 42T Bling Ring with 3 x 2mm spacers and some adjustment to my BB spacers. http://www.brightonebikes.co.uk/store/p31/Lekkie_spacer_for_Bling_Ring_HD.html The Bafang chainring adapter pulled the chain line out...

Glad to hear they were able to sort you out, it's good to know there is a source of spares for these motors. Looks like TBK could now be providing the service that BMS Battery should of been for years.

    broken saddle

This type of claim comes down to how much the dealer cares about his customers. Is having a happy customer worth a cheap replacement saddle that is only going to cost them around £5?

    Halfords electric scooters.

They look great fun, especially for nipping around in an urban area. I don't think their legality will become an issue until numbers increase and if they take on menace status. Adult versions were featured in last weeks episode of Casualty being ridden through a public park and I don't think...

Any place for a replacement Volt Pulse battery?

Worth considering having your battery re-celled by Jimmy at eBike Batteries. There are prob. cheaper options, but you will get great service and a very well built battery with good quality cells. Quite a few members here have used his service.

Hailong battery help, possible controller fault?

Yes, they may be inside, usually the car-type blade fuses or inline glass type. The case should be screwed together from the base side. Take great care when opening it, they can be glued/siliconed together. Avoid shoving anything metalic inside the case. There may also be loose/broken wires...

Hailong battery help, possible controller fault?

Check the fuses on your battery. Most have a charge and discharge one fitted on the outside. Some are inside the pack. If you don't have one, get a DVM, you will need one to find any fault with battery or charger...

If it helps, you should be fine running just a single 44T chainwheel, unless you are riding steep trails.
