I am trying to get a Giant Twist Elite back in operation for a recently bereaved lady, the bike belonged to her late husband, she wants to sell it but it is missing the handlebar display/controller and she cannot find it.
I cannot work out which controller it requires as nothing I can see on Google looks the right shape or size.
I have attached photos of both the cradle and the badging on the crossbar, I wonder if anybody recognises it and/or has any suggestions about where to obtain one.
You would think that the local Giant agent (who sold it to her husband) would be able to help - they didn’t even notice the controller was missing so that is not the way to go.
I would appreciate any help please, John

This display appears to have the same mounting bracket.

For £20 less you can have a new one!

Depending on it's age and how long it's been left unused, you may find the battery has expired. You might do better to sell as is.

As Pete has indicated get the battery checked first to make sure it holds a charge and the voltage is good.
You don't need the complete control kit at £65 so if need be buy from the original source at Giant, the Crawley address is just a guy selling from his 2 bed flat.

If the battery is no good or doesn't charge then just sell the bike as spares/repairs as a new battery is circa £250 - £300 and add a new display unit nearly £300 - £350 for a used bike, likely not worth much more depending on its age.

Thanks for the replies, I am very grateful, I will discuss with her & set to with a multimeter, I know that this is no guarantee that the batteries (there are two) will hold their charge.
