I could have cried, not for EddiePJ

I'd call it a swingarm main pivot bearing. For reference attach the two photos that I put the arrow on to. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/i-could-have-cried-not-for-eddiepj.26360/page-4#post-346354 Also provide a link this thread at the stage where the subject comes up. From your...

I'd say that Scott have neglected to supply them, especially as the photo that SW posted clearly shows one. There is no way that the bearing should be exposed like that. That is cost cutting to the extreme.

Your bearing. Your chainstay guard looks to be wrong when compared with this correct one, which not only has a proper cover for the bearing, but also includes protection again chain rub.

edit... Ah it should have a cover. :) Gubbins if you haven't removed it, you appear to be missing a cover over the exposed bearing. SW is showing an example from the left hand side of the bike, to work out what the bearing arrangement is. I'm curious now, and might well have to take a look...

Gubbins, a word of caution in respect on using Gunk around the sprocket area..... Don't. :) Any cleaning in that area is definitely a hand wipe down and clean only area. The reason being is that it actually takes very little to wash the grease out from the outer bearing seal. Very wise move...

    New to the elec scene

The 690 sounds good. :) I came close several years ago to buying a 640 Supermoto, but after a test ride decided that my licence wouldn't last a week! :D Ref the KTM/Haibike and the Pyrenees, you will have no problem with a lower spec bike. :)...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

I have always found that graphite powder is very good for problems with keys/locks on my bike. Another very good one which seems to penetrate well, yet not cause issues in respect of dust, is dry lube that you would use on a bike chain.

    Real mileage/battery figures??

As D8veh has said, there are too many variables to ever be able to gauge available range/mileage from one fully charged battery. Subject to terrain and wind/weather conditions and being realistic, I'd guess that the average range for my use is 27-30 miles with about 3,000ft of climbing...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Last chance of a shot of all three bikes being clean at the same time. :) You would have thought that I would have learnt something about pedal position by now! :( Morning mist on the edge of Ashdown forest. And my favourite bike. :)

    Brose motor problems

Beat me to it. I was going to say that whilst issues using the phone app seem a regular topic on here, the software glitch must have been ironed out, as no one has mentioned it. :)

    Stolen Bike Check.

Hard to say, but I'd say grey for the console, as on the Ebay bike, but black for the control switch, which is unlike the Ebay bike.

    Stolen Bike Check.

Just asking a general question. Gubbins, did your bike also have the grey coloured Intuvia console and control switch surround? I always thought that the grey colour was representative of the Active Line motor and not Performance or CX.

    This is another good one.

Simpleton cheap micro hd cam, that works really well.

At that price it sounds like a sensible insurance precaution for anyone that rides on the road.

    25 to 30 miles /charge.

I'm going to say roughly 4,300 feet of climbing over non muddy/grassy off road use.

e-bike specific chains on offer at CR

I really rate Connex sprockets on the Bosch motor system, but have never tried their chains. I've also never had any trouble with KMC 93/10 chains, and for my use, spending loads of money on a chain is kind of like throwing money away. The grinding paste soil conditions quickly wear out and...

e-bike specific chains on offer at CR

I'm happy with my choice of KMC chain, but for anyone looking for e-bike specific chains, Chain Reaction have two makes on offer at the moment. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-e6090-e-bike-10-speed-chain/rp-prod119970...

[Dec 26, 2016] Boxing Day Warwickshire Ride to blow away the Yule Cobwebs (Warwickshire)

Not trying to be critical, but to me it sounds as though you have made too many stipulations. It sounds too regimented to be of any fun.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Steve. Just my opinion, but it would be better to alter the angle of the camera up, so that it gives more of a riders eye perspective. You would loose the handlebars in the shot, but the camera wouldn't be facing the ground.
