    Hi from HaslemerR

No shortage of ebike owners in your area, assuming that you meant to write Haslemere. :)

Limekiln has similar issues with both youngsters on motorbikes, and adults in 4x4 vehicles. Neither are permitted. The S/D was okay yesterday although slippery on the chalk sections, but I might have just hit lucky with my route, as another lad that I know that rode there, complained of muddy...

I have never really given much thought to what is in my area, and I just tend to go out and ride. We have plenty of bridleways etc around here, although they become very chewed up by horses in winter months. There is also the old railway lines of Forest Way, Worth Way and Cuckoo trail. Very dull...

Gubbins, you have some of the best scenery right on your doorstep. :) Merry Xmas to all. Xmas Day morning ride done and dusted. Now off for some family fun. :)

    Haibike sDuro FullNine 29 2016 Yamaha 400Wh eMTB Frame 55cm eBike * SOLD/THREAD CLOSED *

I stand by all of my comments about the bike. As for the corrosion, do you really want me to go through the photos that you have posted to highlight the corrosion, defects, and excessive wear and tear? Even the front and rear wheel rims don't seemingly match. I guess that one persons opinion...

    Haibike sDuro FullNine 29 2016 Yamaha 400Wh eMTB Frame 55cm eBike * SOLD/THREAD CLOSED *

I completely disagree. If the bike has covered the claimed mileage of just 828 miles then it has had one hell of a hard life. Look at the corrosion on the shock bolt, reverb bolt and fittings, headset bolt, seat post clamp bolt etc. Then look at the wear on the rubber handlebar grips, brake...

    SCOTT ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN BIKE **SOLD**

And if I might make another suggestion. The cable also needs locating under the chainstay rather than over. :) You risk it being damaged by chain slap as it is currently positioned.

Thanks for that. :) Sadly the knee doesn't look great again after today, and I still have a ride with my regular ride mate very early tomorrow morning, and then out again on my own Boxing Day for another very early morning ride. I was thinking of making the Boxing Day ride a night ride, but...

Out on the South Downs this morning tentatively trying the knee in readiness for my Xmas morning ride. Just 23.5 miles with 2,292ft of elevation gain. It was one of those rides where you were taking your jacket off for every climb, then putting it back on again for the descents. The head wind...

    Trip to Kent bikes

If you are that close to Kent Bikes, Cycling Made Easy in Tunbridge Wells is also worth a visit. http://www.cyclingmadeeasy.co.uk/electricbikesinTunbridgeWells They have a pretty good selection of bikes on display, and Rob Montgomery the store manager is very passionate about his products. I'm...

Looking at your rides on an a daily basis on Strava, I have been thinking "you lucky bastid" Out riding at least twice a day, whilst I haven't been able to get out at all! :( Glad that you are out there enjoying and getting value for money from the bike. Long may it continue.:)

Irrelevant of what they say, it is very poor attention to detail.

    Fox Antifreeze - Feb 2017

I'd imagine that there is some fantastic riding to be had. :) The event certainly appeals, and I have a couple of events lined up myself for next year, but luckily they are local to me. In truth, these days I loathe driving any distance on UK roads, and would much sooner just hop across the...

With a 560 mile round trip, that is way to far for me to think about.

Places to ride in the south east

Just scanning through old threads, have you been venturing out onto the SD? Bad knee or no bad knee, I'm intending to head off to the SD on Xmas eve for a ride. I can't hack not being out on the bike any longer!

Scott Espark 720 Vs Haibike SDURO AllMtn RC

Trying to edit on a mobile phone is never great! :( Yep, that is a very poor cost cutting design detail. More than enough to put me off touching any Scott FS e-MTB.

There might be another very simple way that you could solve the issue. I obviously don't know the inner dimension of the axle tube, but you might be able to use something as simple as a handle bung, with perhaps a larger plastic washer from a plumbing shop if the bung wasn't wide enough. It...

Gubbins I guess that the most obvious thing to do, is to put that very question directly to Scott Bikes, and request that they put into writing that despite the bearing being fully exposed, that neither corrosion or premature wear will affect the bearing through riding in UK winter conditions...
