Elife La Grande 26" electric bike drive crank needs replacing

When you tighten the bolt that fits into the bottom bracket spindle thread it pushes the crank into the square taper. You could put the crank on untightened and post a photograph of the space between the crank and frame. Another thing you could do is put the old crank on untightened and measure...

Elife La Grande 26" electric bike drive crank needs replacing

Hi, put a flat piece of plastic / cardboard / wood against the lip then measure from the cardboard (inside) to the outside edge of the square hole in the crank (outside). Measure from the edge of the bottom bracket (frame) to the outside of the bottom bracket spindle. This should help you work...

    Tektro hydraulic disc brake mystery

Hi,bi accidently knocked my BBS02 wheel magnet (the one attached to the wheel)., it ended in the reverse position. This resulted in it feeling like the PAS was disabled, I don't know if it actually was. Can anybody explain what reversing the wheel magnet does to the BBS02 system. Thanks for...

Did your E bike get you back on a regular bike?

I have an ebike (26" wheeled MTB with BBS02) and a flat bar road bike. I use my ebike for shopping and going to the scrapyard, the non ebike gets used on my longer Sunday rides. Sometimes it's nice to ride on a lighter bike, I would say the ebike helped me get fit again.

    New Cassette needed?

Let's say that you get another 3000 miles after spending £125, thats 4.2 pence per mile. Buy a freewheel / cassette remover and chain tool to make it even cheaper. A good tip is to buy a quick link a different colour to your chain, this makes it easier to see when your chain is muddy and gives...

    Electric bike Cost

The way I look at it is that parts are cheaper than car / motorcycle parts to replace i.e. disk brake rotors, chains, tyres etc. I use my bike for exercise, carrying shopping and going to the scrapyard (which gives me some of the cost back). Does the joy of riding your ebike compensate for the...

    Punctures

The key putting on puncture proof tyres is adjustable zip ties. Put the bit that the tie feeds through against the rim, this provides a more stable platform than the tyre. I find a good quality metal spoon (the best tyre lever ever invented) with a curved end helps to get that last little bit as...
