what do you mean by freewheel is that the cog wheel on back wheel As it’s an electric moped and on the back wheel I counted the points of the cog and there is 17. So do that mean I need a 17 speed chain then

any 9spd chain should do just make sure it has enough links.

you will need a chain tool to remove the extra links you dont need.

yeah as take it you just have 1 gear so spd of chain does not matter in that case.

yeah it’s a electric moped not working atm but thought may as well get a new chain. It maybe the controller what’s at fault don’t know yet. But it’s a ERider model 15.

I agree with Raboa, looking at the pictures it looks like a single speed. If you buy any multi speed chain like 7/8/9 speed etc it will be a so called "3/32" chain, yours could be a 1/8th wide single speed chain so the best way is to take the chain off and then any bike shop can identify it and sell you the right one.
