    Crack-Down on sub-standard e-bikes in Germany

I seem to remember more problems with expensive German Ebikes on this Forum , rather than` cheaper` Chinese machines ! Perhaps the Germans should set their sights closer to home ?

Woosh Santana.. A rose or a thorn?

Chainring next time Lidl have Cycle gear have a look at their gloves .A few weeks ago I bought some with non slip palms . They were full not fingerless and came in green , blue and pink , all with black . I must confess I bought the pink as they really stand out ! Aldi probably do the same ones .

Jo go for a 250V with a 10Ah Battery on your Ebike . Over time the battery degrades and the more capacity to start off with, the better . The Trade Members on this site have a good range of machines starting below £600 . Look at the Woosh and Kudos sites for example .

Woosh Santana.. A rose or a thorn?

Glad you are getting on with your Santana . I have just come back from a 12 mile ride on my Batribike Folder , riding in formation with a Santana . When I cruise along on Medium assist , the Santana is keeping up on Low Assist and in a lower gear to keep the speed down . With the same effort...

Does Batribike Granite do regenerative braking ?

I have just looked at the Batribike site and the regen . models of 2010 - 2011 are listed as obsolete . These were the Diamond , Granite and Quartz with suffix regen . Obviously they can`t have been successful . As far as I am aware nobody offers regen . in their range . My Batribike Quartz SE...

How hard to buy an electric bike in Sheffield?

Hatti could have a Woosh Sant Ana with you in 2 days for £625 , half hour later you would be pedalling it . Black or white , your choice . This machine is similar to the Pro Bike , but her replacement batteries are cheaper .

    New from Woosh, mileage predictor

Pretty well spot on for me Hatti on my 8Ah Batribike . Even after two and a half years` use , I am nearer the 10 Ah line . Should I wish to do a Reggie Perrin and do the one way trip , I could make it over the Bristol Channel and easily get to Minehead .

Woosh Santana.. A rose or a thorn?

I have just looked at Woosh`s site for Sant Ana information .They quote frame size as 44cm which in old money is 17.3 in .The saddle height is quoted as 84cm or 33.07in . The machine is said to be suitable for persons of 5ft 5in --6ft . I know that the saddle came out of the box at it`s lowest...

Dealers offering loan bikes and pick up for warranty bikes

Alex clean all the parts and use non permanent threadlock . My rear wheel axle nut on my Aprilia 250 Leonardo Scooter has to be used only once after Torquing to about 90 lbs.ft . They were £10 each years ago and took time to come on a back order . I bought a £3 tube of thread lock and it does...

Woosh Santana.. A rose or a thorn?

Chainring my Brother bought the Woosh Sant Ana several months ago and he is 5ft 7in and it`s fine . The Aspen has a 28 in wheel and a sprung saddle post which would add to the seat height and you might have trouble touching the floor . The Sant Ana has 26 in wheels and compared with my Batribike...

Dealers offering loan bikes and pick up for warranty bikes

Alex the easiest thing to do is buy a budget spare Ebike as a back up . The Woosh Santana for £600 is the one . My Brother has had one for several months and is very pleased with it . Then after a few months of happy riding , sell the other for spares or throw it in a skip . Don`t torture...

Steam cleaner ok to use on bike?

Be kinder to it and use baby wipes . They work beautifully on the undersides of my Scooters and Motorcycle , including grease and road muck . Have you seen what they shift on a baby ?

    Up to £1200 to spend

Spend half that amount of money buying one of Hatti`s Woosh Santanas . Both Woosh and Kudos`s replacement batteries are very reasonably priced . Going for such a high Amp hr battery might give you a nasty shock when needing a replacement . The Woosh cruises at near 15 mph on Medium assist while...

    Head gear

My helmet must have been too tight for my head Lynda , as after being told to change my password after 891 days , I couldn`t work out how to get back on here ! If I cannot repeat the feat, in the words of Capt. Oates , `I may be some time `.

    Head gear

An Aldi or Lidl Snowboard helmet will do you nicely . They are very comfortable , have 8 vents and an Active ventilation slider on the top to control the air supply .Some on here worried that they might be too warm in Summer .Well I can reassure them that this is not the case as it`s Summer here...

How many women ride electric bikes.

I bought one for my Wife at vast expense , well £600 seeing as you ask and she refuses to ride it . She said I should have asked her first . Well it was a 70th birthday present , silly me .
