    Elise Electric Explorer from bicycles4u

Go for a higher capacity battery for better range , 10Ah is the best compromise for range and cost . Batteries deteriorate over time and if you start off with a small range it only gets smaller . The Woosh range is good value as well , my Brother has the Santana and it`s been excellent over...

    Cheap Action Camera

Old Pedaller the solution is not more batteries, but a nice portable External Battery or Power Bank . I use an OMAKER 5200 mAh in a top pocket and feed the lead into my SJ Cam M10 mounted high up on a chest mount . The OMAKER is a work of art in rubberised black and yellow and will last for...

    Batteries

For replacement cost , range and weight , I think the optimum is 11Ah . Obviously it does depend on use/route . After 6 years of riding Ebikes and 12 years of retirement and a battery re-cell , this is my opinion for what it`s worth .

    Introducing the new Woosh Bermuda

Trex a non technical question for you .Why don`t Woosh put their Name on their bikes ? My Brother has a 3 year old black SantAna devoid of markings and we get asked frequently about our machines and no one has heard of Woosh around Barrybados . My Folder shouts Batribike Quartz and seems proud...

    G-tech bike,has anyone seen a proper test

All very well to say support local Dealers and for this reason I originally bought my Batribike from a local Dealer , well 15 miles away . Within a couple of years two successive Dealers had folded and the last time I looked the current and third Dealer sold a few Electric Bikes but mainly...

New magazine...Watt bike, inside Twist and Go.

I have subscribed/purchased` Twist and Go` since it started at Weston Super Mare quite a few years ago . It was subsequently taken over by the Morton Group and moved to Lincolnshire . For the first few years it continued as before solely catering for Automatic Scooters, but over the last few...

    Spring Drive bike experiment

Be careful that chain doesn`t do a Parry Jones on you ie wrapped around your neck causing strangulation, as might have happened to the Driver of Babs at Pendine in 1927 . This is disputed now and they think the upturned racing car might have been the cause . In any event don`t fall off the...

Best value 36v battery on the market now

I would contact the Company in London that re-celled my Batribike Battery in under a week and see what they have available , they will even build it to your requirements . If you have an existing one they will re-cell it for you .They are Martex Electronics , t/a INSAT International at Bounds...

    Nuts always getting loose

Clean the mating parts with cellulose thinners or similar and apply non-setting thread locking compound . I have used it on the rear spindle nut on my Scooter instead of the £10 single use only Aprilia Spares nut . A socket undoes it ok , the Torque is 80lbf.ft a lot more than on your Ebike !

    Where to buy SJ4000 camera?

I purchased the SJCam M10 Camera from Banggood last January , I paid more for it to come from their Middlesex Warehouse . The camera has been used on my Scooters , Motorcycle , Electric Bike and in the Car with excellent results, after some experimenting . Initially I used it mounted in the...

    Helmets @ Aldi

I purchased one of these helmets 3 years ago for £19.99 and have found it to be far superior to the normal cycle helmet . It fits snuggly , is warmer and the chinstrap is comfortable . They only came in matt black or white then . Anyone with doubts should set them aside and buy one . I remember...

Why are folders no good for communting?

Folders have their place , they are compact , lighter , will fold and in the event of a puncture can easily be brought home in a car . My Batribike has been faultless over 5 years, is comfortable but not fast . I ride regularly with my Brother on his Woosh SantAna and we both cycle at the same...

    new battery

Yes Tom I would certainly recommend Insat . With the varying methods of mounting batteries , re-celling in the future might be the only way of keeping on the road, as Ebikes aren`t quite throw away yet . Take my Batribike Folder , my battery is mounted behind the seat tube with a front hub motor...

    new battery

Well my original 8Ah battery did 33 miles when new 5 years ago , so I`m hoping for better with the re-celled 11.6 Ah capacity one . The new charger is a lot smaller and takes longer to charge to get the `green`. The battery pack is now noticeably lighter too . The charging plug is a strange one...

Batribike Quartz SE Folder turns back time .

After 5 years and nearly 5000 trouble free miles on the Batribike save for a new set of brake blocks, I decided to treat it to a battery re-cell and new tyres and tubes . When purchased the SE was a `run out` model and the 24V battery came with a capacity of 8Ah instead of the 10 Ah of the...

    new battery

Eaglerider I came across the Company on Ebay and downloaded 14 pages of really interesting information on batteries on their listing . They are Insat International , Unit 1A , Gateway Mews , Bounds Green , London , N11 2UT Tel : 0208 361 1790 . Jimmy is the Boss there and they are a nice...

    new battery

Why not get your existing batteries re-celled ? My 5 year old Batribike battery was sent to London last Thursday and today Monday, I received a call to say it was ready . The new batteries are Samsung INR-18650-29E which will now give me 11.6Ah instead of the original 8Ah . They will require a...

Tyres: do they really need to be so hard?

I run my Batribike Folder with 20 x 1.95 in. tyres at 40-45 Psi . Too high a pressure and the ride is uncomfortable . Batribike quote 40-65 Psi in their handbook .

Probably sick of these by now? Which bike...

A Woosh Santana would do you fine on that run . My Brother has had one for two and a half years , a good hill climber and much faster than my 20 in.Batribike Folder . Their replacement batteries are very reasonably priced too when compared with other Ebike Suppliers .

    New Gtech ebike

Their rustless Aluminium sounds pretty advanced . Who writes their blurb and technical stuff ? That battery looks a bit small too , no mention of the aH . I guess my Batribike Folder must be made of the same aluminium , as that hasn`t rusted either in 5 years !!
