    Battery decision

My Batribike Quartz Folder has Leisger stamped on the Controller Cover and in 9 years I have had no problems with it . That Milano looks nicely balanced and the motor/battery combination looks good . I was drawn to it last July but it was out of stock at the time on Amazon, so I went for the Pro...

    Battery decision

Intel I have the Pro Rider Flare with the Dapu mid drive and similar battery Ah and you should get your 30 miles range out of it . As has been stated the Woosh machines offer long range batteries and I can vouch for the battery quality of Woosh . My Brother has a 6 year old Woosh and it still...

Slow leak on 20” e-rear wheel

My Suzuki 250 X7 , Suzuki Roadie 50 and Aprilia Leonardo 250 are all ready to ride but these days I prefer to ride my Ebikes . These are are all different and have features I like and others less so . The Batribike Quartz has front suspension , a 200 Watt Motor , front hub drive , 20 in. wheels...

Slow leak on 20” e-rear wheel

Jimo wrap a sheet or large rag around the handle grips a few times and up - end the Quartz after laying it on it`s side , it will balance . Prior to this if you cannot see where the tube is leaking, half fill a flower window box with water and immerse the wheel in it ( obviously choose one...

    Charger stolen

I turn my Ebike Chargers off when the LED turns green . The instructions with my Pro-Rider Flare mid motor drive says to leave it showing green for 1 hour . As it`s charging in a shed at the bottom of the garden it`s not always adhered to !

    Charger stolen

On re-reading my Saga above I should have emphasised the importance of measuring the Voltage Output of any Charger that is purchased, before connecting to the Ebike Battery . This means using a Multimeter . An instrument in the £10 to £20 price range would be best . I bought a spare costing £5...

    Charger stolen

Chargers are a science in themselves Andy . My tale is an interesting one . My Batribike Quartz came with a Charger which listed a 31. 5 Volts Output . After 5 years I had the battery re-celled by Jimmy with 18650 Cells which pushed up the Quartz`s Battery from 8Ah to 11Ah and a new charger was...

    Charger stolen

Plenty on Ebay ranging from £10 upwards , mainly from China . I didn`t get success with the Jing Cheng Model from China which is larger and has cooling slots and can be taken apart . A Lancashire Company Batt_shop have a PowerSmart 24V 1.5A Output with a 1 year warranty for £24.49 . This is the...

    Street legal

Jim I have the 2010 Batribike Quartz SE with a 200Watt Motor and the battery behind the seat tube and it slows after 14 mph . You might have the successor with a 250 Watt Motor which probably does the same .

    Bike horns

You could always shout out `BIKE `when near , I find it usually works if the horn or bell fails to move them .

    Bike horns

Why not combine a light with a horn having a decent sound for shared paths ? I purchased one from www.gearbest.com and it`s described as a Bicycle Light with Horn usb rechargeable for £3.75 . Mine is the gold painted one with the horn button in red , there are 4 or 5 on the site .

    Chinese imports

Further to the above, the TDL 6162 CITY E Bike at £499 looks nice in red . It has front suspension , a decent 36V 10Ah Battery , 6 Speed rather than some with 21 speed which is over the top , 26 x 1.75 tyres and looks to be decently constructed/finished . It mentions a throttle which looks to be...

    Chinese imports

Argos do a couple of Ebikes at less than £500 . Some Folders have rather high frames to step over and are harder to step over than larger wheeled Step Throughs . The TV Shopping Channel often has Electric Folders at discounts . They have front suspension and the battery on the carrier . On Ebay...

    E-Bike storage?

In the Kitchen every morning and in the Garage I usually wait for the red indicator light to show , this means the tank is full and it stops working . At higher temperatures in the kitchen the water tank fills up faster, especially when using the gas cooker . In the Garage the temperature is...

    E-Bike storage?

My models are from the eco air range of Desiccant Dehumidifiers www.eco air.org The Model was the ECO DD122FW SIMPLE , but now described as the DD1 . The SIMPLE is the basic model with a Rotary knob to set the humidity level . The Digital setting model would require too much fiddling and would...
