    Winter gloves

That is both a very good question, and also a slightly embarrassing one. Embarrassing, as I had forgotten that I have a pair of Sealskinz gloves tucked away in a draw in the shed. It is currently far too warm here, to require anything other than the Stihl work gloves that I generally wear on...

    Winter gloves

I'm not really certain how you would classify the following gloves, but upon recommendation, I have just bought a pair of Shire Neoprene Yard gloves for £17.00 from a local tack shop. Using them today for the first time, they became too hot to wear comfortably, and I'm hoping that because of...

Orange 6 E LE Shortest review ever!

Thanks for the reply Dave, you have made some very reasonable and valid points. In reply to your one question about DI2 and how did I find the shifting, this was my first time of riding a bike that comes with it fitted, and it wasn't really sure of what to expect. I didn't really know what to...

Orange 6 E LE Shortest review ever!

A preliminary and end review of the Orange Alpine E LE (2018) all rolled into one. Shortest review ever! Getting one thing out of the way to begin with, I was disappointed when Orange first announced that they were building an eMTB. I realise that market forces have created the requirement of...

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

In both sets of your photos. Then your understanding is incorrect, as is the opinion of Jeremy. You will actually find that "serious" mtb/eMTB riders, as you have put it, actually only use one finger braking. I'd imagine that no one other than Jeremy is using two finger braking. As for...

What's the deal with the two finger braking in all of the photos?

Plastic chain guard on Bosch Powerline

Wouldn't it make more sense just to remove the pedal crank, to take a look to see what is required before buying the spider tool. I'd imagine that the guard would just spin on and off by hand, and wouldn't need the spider tool. Remember, that it if you do decide to invest in a spider tool, that...

    Blackburn 650 Central Front Light

I did just the same. It seems like a very good idea to have cycle accessories and kit, all in its own section. Thanks for the review. .

If the frames were made from steel, I would have said that there might have been a few bridges around the UK that have lost their main structural support. The downtube is certainly unecessarily large and ugly. Not my thing at all.

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

That certainly hasn't been my experience, and not one that I think is a problem. I'd say that I stand up as much on my full suspension eMTB as I do my hardtail eMTB. .

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

How have you come to that conclusion? I can't see how that would make any difference, and I've yet to have a motor from either of the hardtail eMTB's that I have owned. .

sugestions for good quality warm beanie type hats please?

Not a Beanie as such, but one of these is easily my favourite winter riding accessory. I really hate having a cold neck. Worth buying, just because of the clip.:D .

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

If I was being a stickler for the book so to speak, I guess that you should replace with new seal each time. Given that I re-grease the seal every few weeks or so, there is not a chance that I'm going to doing that, and intend to replace with a new one every few months or so.

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

Which links to my point about percentage rates of failure. There are probably hundreds of thousands of Bosch powered bikes out there, that run and operate without fault. None of which you ever hear about, as there is no reason to. Sadly, you only ever hear about failure, and I don't mean that...

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

Hi Trever, firstly here is a link to the seal kit, including the grease that should be used when installing the seal, but in the case of my current bike, that Bosch chose not to add or use...

Hi Trevor, I do have the info and photos, but I am currently not at home to access them. I'll try and upload the photos etching, at some stage tomorrow for you.☺

    Bosch ebike motor reliability

Hi Neal, I was wondering when my name would eventually crop up in respect of the increasing amount of Bosch related motor failure threads. Not just on this site, but elsewhere on other ebike related forums and FB groups. Bear with me on this, as it a long and rambling one. I don't believe that...

Yellow and red mark two of my playgrounds. I was in the yellow area today. :) There is a further 1,000 acres or so beside, that is an unofficial play ground, plus two army camps, although I was caught in one of them a couple of years ago, and was left in no uncertain terms that I shouldn't...
