GPS Tracker for £2 a month

Rear or front lights are often used, and there are smaller GPS tracker versions, that work well, on ebay. Less than 40 UK pounds and no monthly charges.... I fastened one on the bottom of my saddle, worked really well, but some saddles don't make that very easy.... Using a tracker is very...

motor, frame, motor controller advice needed

I question the validity of the question for having Regen! Is it really worth it on an e-bike, just to save a few pennies of electricity, at the end of the day? I myself, have never had or ridden a bike with regen active, but I can certainly understand the worry mentioned by vfr400. Some e-bikes...

    Front Hub Motor

I find your question excellent! I have ridden front and rear hubs, although not one with a 1000w motor, but I did not notice the extra weight at all when steering, and it drove and rode really well. In fact it impressed me so much, it was the reason I bought my first e-bike! 1000w will be...

    Electric bikes discredited

In my case, I know a great many people, and often exactly where they live. They are the ones who throw out criticism without having a clue what they are talking about! Plus I have a hidden GPS on my bike, so I would know exactly where it lands up! Why more people do not use them, as the...

Britain's First 'Dutch-Style' Roundabout Closed 10 Days After Opening When Car Ploughed Into Beacon

Here are some other versions that also get shown:- A Fun explanation in English here:- A version is a strong North German Dialect, part 1 of 3:- A full version appears to be here:-

Britain's First 'Dutch-Style' Roundabout Closed 10 Days After Opening When Car Ploughed Into Beacon

Not many Brits know that! But its actually not at Christmas, its transmitted on 3rd German TV stations (regional) on New Years Eve, (evening), at various times. Now several TV stations have produced versions in German, or even completely rewritten it, with good actors, again in German, but also...

I remember the "outing" on the news, but I did not catch the destination! Many thanks Andy

Britain's First 'Dutch-Style' Roundabout Closed 10 Days After Opening When Car Ploughed Into Beacon

I have to plead ignorance (I have lived longer in Germany now than anywhere else on this planet, 39 years!), what is Barnard Castle? I only found this:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnard_Castle Is this exactly what you were referring to? If yes, why? Andy

    Nano-Septic Handlebars

Good point, which I basically ignored at the time, as I was only "noticing" those "leaving" the facility, unwashed! Just for fun, I sometimes "invited" such people/leavers to wash their hands at the same sink, "in a friendly collegial manner" of course! It "shamed" most into joining me...

Britain's First 'Dutch-Style' Roundabout Closed 10 Days After Opening When Car Ploughed Into Beacon

Interesting, but I see problems here (Germany) with RAs, that have a normal zebra crossing (similar to where the bikes go here), when placed too close to the traffic ring, as a car gets blocked, halts for a pedestrian (slower than a bike!), and the car(s) behind simply plough into the rear of...

I wonder if its some sort of possible scam?

    Nano-Septic Handlebars

You are 100% right, but getting some people to EVER wash their hands, is just about impossible IMHO. I remember, when visiting the toilet/wash room at work some years ago, I observe! But what I observed was that "Blue collar" workers, invariably wash their hands, but "White collar" workers, far...

    Marians

There are a few here who can help you with the battery, and a new charger. Up to now, in almost 10 years and several e-bikes, I have never had a charger or a battery go defective, as I look after them MOST carefully! The infos from bike manufacturers are IMHO simply awful, contributing to early...

Fuses? Did you replace them with known good ones? I agree, if the battery is down to 18 volts, then only a real expert MIGHT recover it. At that voltage generally, a lot of damage has been made to the cells. Andy

    Marians

I do not understand your reply 100% for certain. Do you mean that the charge LED on the charger does not light? If yes, it is possible that the charger, or the plug, simply have a blown fuse. Or even two blown fuses. Check the plug first. Replace fuse with a known tested good fuse. Check...

Did they actually examine both articles for several days? If not, they are supposing only..... They could possibly be correct, but IMHO seldom. What have you observed yourself? Do you have access to a multi meter and the knowledge to use it, to check the parts out to see if say the charger is...

    Pedelec Law - The Details

...but you were not at my Grammar School I believe, and at the same time as I was there, now were you? When were you in a grammar school? I will restate that was how they looked at things when I was there. Remember, it was a Rugby only, cricket in the summer school, where all forms of football...

    Battery cutting out.

It is not something I would recommend to anyone, unless they were far better trained than the average electrician......it can get dangerous! Here is someone doing something wrong with two batteries on the same bike:- Regards Andy

    Pedelec Law - The Details

Grammar schools THEN, were only really orientated for people with two left hands, wanting to be eventually in parliament or property developement IMHO. Some of my colleagues are/were just that. One is/was a professor at Oxford (my chess partner!). For the boys, woodwork was the only practical...
