Does anyone store their ebike outdoors under a cover?

Hello folks. I have been thinking about storage of my new Woosh converted bike a lot. I don't have a safe space to charge my bike indoors. I will be making a shed soon but in the meantime thinking about chaining the bike to the sheffield stand my old commuting bike lived was bolted to and just...

    Woosh DWGC22 installation thoughts

Thanks for your thoughts, folks. I think I am treating myself to a bike shed. Time to start a thread....

Hoping to increase driver passing distance at night, I've glued front and rear reflectors to my wing mirrors.

You would complain and get your money back. They would include postage unless you bought other stuff at the same time, in which case the postage wouldn't be refunded. There's no obligation to provide the item in the picture if they instead offered a full refund and it seems disingenuous to...

    Woosh DWGC22 installation thoughts

Well, I've finished the bike and took it for a ride today. I cannot believe I am allowed such a thing. It makes cycling really, really easy and I think it will pay for itself in no time. I can't see any point in keeping my car now. Not turning up at places all sweaty. Installation was really...

Hoping to increase driver passing distance at night, I've glued front and rear reflectors to my wing mirrors.

I was driving a car the other day and I passed a cyclist on a road bike. I have been a lifelong cyclist so I am always on the lookout for them anyway, but I thought this light on the offside bottom of his drop handlebar was a very clever idea...

Woosh King meter headlamp function DWG22C kit.

Fair enough. Maybe that is an out-of-warranty experiment when I get my BBS01ET. I want to try both. :)

Woosh King meter headlamp function DWG22C kit.

Hello I see references in the manual for my meter to a headlight function. Is a headlight something I can fit to my DWG22C kit? I can always rebuild the front wheel with a dynamo hub but if I have a great big battery it would seem easy to have a headlamp feed.

    Woosh DWG22 installation, horizontalish dropouts

I was planning to use chain tensioners with this frame, but on reflection have another frame in better nick I'm going to use for my ebike build. It has horizontal dropouts and I might find a front fork with a disc mount. Now, the next question. This bike has lovely racks which I would be sad to...

    Woosh DWG22 installation, horizontalish dropouts

Hello I am having a play with this which I ordered on Friday and was delivered on Sunday! Taking my time to get my head around all of this before I take it all out of the box and actually fit it. Reading everything I can before I do the job! There is more than one frame I can use so this...

BBS01ET vs DWG22C for cargo bike

DWG22C purchased in the end. :) My car is about to be sold and my old eBike is gone - I need to get on the road now and the BBS01 isn't going to work with the frame that's ready without modifications. Watch this space!

BBS01ET vs DWG22C for cargo bike

I had another conversation with a friend who used to ride cycle rickshaws. Apparently the best ones use these: https://www.sturmey-archer.com/en/products/detail/cs-rk3-silver It's a 3 speed hub with a splined cassette fitting on one end. Range would not be an issue!

BBS01ET vs DWG22C for cargo bike

Hmm. I am not so sure. It's all a question of gearing, surely? I don't want this bike to go fast at all.

Is it safe to connect a 40W elecric blanket to my ebike battery?

Is it safe to connect a 40W elecric blanket to my ebike battery?

Oooh, boil in the bag bivi bags! I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid. Sleeping in one of those is a rite of passage as is swimming out and getting freezing cold when you wake up. It seems like a lot of money to get the bits to support heating yourself electrically with a little...

    Egg and roll trailer

But then, no-one will necessarily go to your shop if you have one of your own. You won't get the prices you get as an eBay seller anywhere else. I am very reluctant to offer postage for eBay items. I agree, not through laziness, more through the fact that it's very easy to end up losing all...

    Egg and roll trailer

Thanks for that. They are really good points. I suppose I like the idea of it being made of GRP. I spent a lot of time around boats and vehicles when I was younger. Still really torn between the idea of a trailer that fixes to the axle and one that fixes to the seatpost, so I can trundle it...

    Egg and roll trailer

Hello Looking at trailers to go with my new pedelec. I have had my eye on this one for a while. It always struck me that fibreglass could be the perfect material for a trailer. https://cabbike.pl/trailers/ Costs a bit less than a Carry Freedom but a similar idea. What do you think? I sent...

BBS01ET vs DWG22C for cargo bike

Hello I am still not sure what to go for. Been down a proper rabbit hole. The MTB i had planned to convert is much loved and I've had it for decades but I want to carry shopping. I have decided (for better or worse) to convert an old Pashley Mailstar rather than the MTB I had in mind.A big...
