    Tools for Equipping a Bafang

I'm looking to see what tools you would recommend for fitting my Bafang 750w. I've seen in tutorials that I'll need a chain whip amongst other tools. What would you recommend to make the job easier? Also where would be best to buy from?

That doesn't appeal to me to be honest. I'll stick with eBikes

Yes, this is what I am considering. Need to get a hands on look at everything first and build my own bike initially to see how feasible the premise is. Its at least an idea for some income on the side, I'll keep my day job but I think if I do this on the side,do it well and legally it could have...

Looking to Start Building and Selling Ebikes in My Area

I'm maybe thinking of perhaps installing 250W Bafangs to peoples own bikes in my area? Of course I will ensure the bike is safe and suitable before installation. I can get all the components for approximately £580. So could maybe offer a legal bicycle to ebike upgrade for £750. Where would I...

How much would a BSM that is close to 48V 750W BBS02 cost? I've purchased BBS02 750W with 11.6Ah battery for £673.85 including delivery with http://eclipsebikes.com.

Anyone building a Bafang BBSHD 1000W bike soon?

Good points, also I'll be able to change the settings once I get used to my existing unmodified bike as a nice little change later on.

Ah that's good to hear, I've heard the BBSS02 has a throttle that goes instantly to full speed, maybe I've been misinformed.

Without any customising can you change the throttle from full throttle to variable depending on the amount of twist/push you apply

I was thinking that could be an option. Would I be liable if my bikes were involved in an accident or would it be the customers responsibility, as long as the bike was built correctly. What kind of construction standards are there for ebike creators?

You know how ebikes > 250w are not considered ebikes anymore and instead electric mopeds or something similar to that. Can you ride them on roads legally if you have all the correct documentation, license and such?

Anyone building a Bafang BBSHD 1000W bike soon?

Do you need a certain type of cable to change these settings and what type of software do you use to do it?

Im sure there would be people who would be interesting on some off road activity eg cycling trails, through forrests, etc... I'd say there would be those who'd not mind if it wasn't road legal and cycle there anyway, but I'm thinking that it's not your responsibility to look over your customers...

Surely if you tell the customer it's not legal to ride on the road and provide this information to them you won't be liable for their offences. I'd say you'd only be open to litigation if you deliberately misled them.
