    Cycling Specs

I wear spectacles but find my eyes streaming due to wind (not pollen) coming in past my specs onto my eyes. This has been an issue for years but now I'm 'electrified' I use a bike a lot more, go further and go faster than previously, so the issue is more annoying. I've been looking at...

Freego Eagle - Conditioning New Battery

Update We love these bikes - my wife has one too! I am comfortably getting well over 40 miles on a full 16Ah battery. I'm now appreciating the thing has a lot of grunt going up hills and I don't need to bust a gut to alleviate strain on motor etc. Never been any hint of motor struggling...

Freego Eagle - Conditioning New Battery

Well went for a 5 mile 'whizz' last night taking total to 51 miles. Down to red light only but no detectable loss of power. At rest still red light only. Strangely User Guide makes no mention of conditioning battery. Dealer said to condition twice. So I decided to do a full charge last...

Freego Eagle - Conditioning New Battery

Thank you Eaglerider. Yes my battery is 16Ah. and 'Yes' already my limitation is a sore bum:p On a more serious note, on this, the first ''full discharge" I'll take the battery a wee bit lower and do full recharge Arthur Arthur

Freego Eagle - Conditioning New Battery

Yes and quite a few hills covered, nothing particularly long or steep. What I think I'm doing though is being over protective of motor as User Guide refers to care on steep hills to avoid strain etc. Yesterday I encountered quite a few steepish but fairly short hills................I pedalled...

Freego Eagle - Conditioning New Battery

Thank you all for advice. Battery still going well at 46 miles! On mid-assist I'm down to red light whilst travelling (voltage sag I'm assuming) but it quickly rises to 2 lights at rest. Now I realise my cycle computer may be inaccurate but I know from the local roads that I'm comfortably...

Freego Eagle - Conditioning New Battery

Well I've completed 35 miles now on bike and still 3 out of 4 battery lights showing on controller. Under load on a steepish hill however, on medium assist, only 1 or 2 lights can be illuminated. But at rest with no load, climbs back to 3 lights quite quickly. Handbook does not make it clear...

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

Thanks. Love it.........:o Just back from a 15 mile ride, average 14mph. I think I will reduce tyre pressures a bit to 60psi - just seems a bit harsh ride. On other hand the User Manual gives no advice on 'Preload' etc so I've not yet worked out how to adjust suspension - that may soften...

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

Well we went out last night on bikes for first time. A few hills which we sailed up - one of them we tended to get off and push on our ordinary bikes. No idea how far we went. No idea how long we were away, maybe 30 minutes? We were enjoying it too much to measure/time:) By the way max tyre...

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

Solved..... Bad connection to controller near crank............... dealer WAS working. He tells me he stripped back faulty connection, remade it and 'hot glued' in position. Anyway, going now, thank you to all for help:o (Still a b***** on a brand new bike:() Arthur

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

Well would you believe it? We've pushed our dealer (gently) since last Saturday to deliver our 2 Freego Eagles this week as promised. At 5pm tonight (Friday) we picked them up and were therefore looking forward to 'flattening/conditioning' our batteries over the predicted sunny weekend. Both...

12v charger use with motorhome leisure batteries - Newbie query 3

We will also have a 12v charger with our bikes so I can charge batteries off our 12v 2 x 110Ah leisure batteries (latter are kept charged by 80w solar panel) Anybody done this? How much Ah will a single full charge take out of the leisure batteries, ignoring any contribution by the solar...

    Security - Newbie Query 1

(Tried to post in Technical but for some reason option does not appear available) Picking up our first e bikes this week which we will mainly use with our motorhome. What do experienced users do re security when you arrive in a town to sightsee re security? Do you take batteries out and...

    Hello

Just joined forum having decided to 'go electric' since our knees are creaking at times on unassisted push bikes. Toyed with the idea of towing a scooter behind our motorhome but e-bikes on a rack is better option. Not decided what to go for yet, but we will test ride a selection. Favour a...
