You're welcome, it's good to be able to post something useful on a forum where I am a complete novice about the subject! I am learning a lot though.

Perhaps you could find an apprentice or student who is working with CAD and who could use your project as practical experience towards their careers. I am using a couple of trainee marine engineers to help me renovate my narrowboat and they appreciate the hands-on experience it gives them.

I'm only an occasional rider so don't need to invest in too many tools (also I have no skills!). If I have a major breakdown I'll just fold the bike and put it in the back of a cab.

Ah, same as mine and from the same place (although they do them in Halfords as well). I adjust mine as soon as I get on the bike and find it stays put from then on, so I don't have to take my eyes off the road to see what is behind me.

My Sony Xperia ZR is waterproof as well, I think we'll see more phones going down this route.

Which one do you have and what problems have you found?

And hopefully more public awareness and acceptance.

What would you do if it was a car? Personally I buy quality second-hand rather than mediocre new every time and I've never had a big bill to pay nor any regrets.

Kelly, the helmet-mounted mirror I mentioned gets round this problem.
