One won't be able to use a KT lcd/display it will be incompatible. To use a KT lcd one needs to upgrade the controller to a KT as well.

P14 is the controller current range it is 12 - 20a so you have yours set for 20a current draw from the battery. Your P9 likely overides...

It'll work with any 36v battery that you can find a way to fit. The battery is only connected by two simple wires to the controller...
