My 350w died today - kinda works upside down but then vibrates and stutters when on load, I am stumped, I have had a look inside and all is well visually, I changed the controller hoping it was that, but sadly to no avail...

I am now officially YOSEpower 250w front hub - bets are now on for how long before I dust off the credit card and go 48v rear:eek:

If I can get the desired spec and style from YOSE

PC2017 - thats frustrating :(

How are all the connectors and wires? I had my screen glitch out on me a few weeks after install, pulled off all the cable ties and checked everything - put it back together (more gently with the cable ties this time) and it seemed fine . . . very odd

Out of interest, what your mileage

Hi Dynatechfan - 3571.4 miles + a few hundred unrecorded and it was not in the best of health after a positive wire burnt out internally about a year ago so I fixed the wire with not much to go on and replaced 2 out of 3 hall sensors, but this time there was no errors on the LCD3!
All connectors are in place and working as I just did a straight swap over from the dillenger 350w to the YOSE 250w after I had replaced the controller and that works fine, well it did yesterday so I hope it does today it needs to get me to work lol.

not a massive mileage then, sorry

Mine just passed 1000km yesterday after less than 12 months hard commuting use (I am zero hours so only work odd days), am hoping to get many years out of it . . .

The 250w Yose is about 30nm so not a powerful hub but should be adequate.
I would test the halls to see if they are ok, any internal motor frying you would have smelt on opening or seen burnt windings.
In case of a wire fault you could try a continuity check of the disconnected motor wire to rule out a wire issue.

It was a work horse though everyday out with me as I clean windows!

I was thinking the same, how would you test them or would it be easier just to replace them? I still have one left over from the last hall sensor overhaul (excuse the pun) I did not see any signs of damage or any smells, the windings look good, I even checked my solder from last time and all was intact.

Had a quick look, might not be easy on the 9 pin moulded connector.

If you are really careful with your probes you could test via an open controller on the appropriate hall connections, tracing the 5 thin wires will be easy to there pcb connection. You won't get hurt but if not careful you could short the controller.

Thanks for caring lol
I was thinking of opening the yose controller its the easiest to open, its gona be a lot to think about not to mention turning the wheel!

If you are really careful with your probes

I've had my Yose Power kit now for a few weeks, and it's given me the ebike bug! So I'm thinking of converting one of my other bikes, but this time with a BBS02 kit. My Yose Power kit came with a 36V battery. Would this battery be capable of driving the BBS02 500W (36V 25amp) version, or would I be better to stick to the 350W (18amp) version?
I want to use the Yose battery to saving having to buy another battery now.

Its an amazing buzz - I've had mine for a while now, but still, on a nice summers day with no wind I get that buzz and feel of unrelented freedom!

BBS02 500w (36V 25amp) version
That's a high amp draw for a battery maybe the 18amp would be better, others on this forum will be most likely be able to advise you better on amp draw and battery capabilities, to this day it still blags my head, It would be good to find out what 18650 cells are in the YOSE battery I suspect LG or panasonic, do some research on battery's and amp draw before you decide!

I'm the same after riding my Yose rear motor kit for a few hundred miles, now looking for a mid drive and another bike to build in into

looking for a mid drive
Thats why I am future proofing my self and going 48V, more choice and more speed if I need it and in case a cheap deal pops up on mid drives, I haven't got my head round the fact the 48v XXah battery will have better range than the 36v equivalent but I am reading so info now - the only reason I stayed away when I first thought about conversions was due to the lack of gears on the bike but I think theres ways round that now

Hello guys. I've finally ordered an kit (i'm the guy from the " Is there an road legal kit for an 48v 14.5ah battery? " thread.). I went for the 48V350W 26" as it's back in stock after five weeks or so although there's only two left on their site;

https://www.yosepower.com/en/product/Hub-Motor-48V350W-26"-Rear-Motor-Bicycle-E-Bike-Hub-Conversion-Kit-Black-DIY-E-bike-LCD-Display-143.html

and two on ebay; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/48V350W-E-bike-black-Hub-Motor-Conversion-kit-Rear-wheel-26-/222999313495

It's £183.59 if you buy from their site (£20 postage) or £205.90 with free p&p on ebay.

I won't have as much torque but i'll just use lower gears and go slower up hills. Just need to figure out what bike to get now. I've read through this thread and it seems like the PAS can be a pain in the butt? Cheers.

48v 17a version will have 30% more torque then the 36v 15a one, pas 5 on hills is mighty. You will have about 800+w output from the controller and 650w at the wheel.

Use 4mm gold banana bullets as they have a rotating bezzle at the solder end or use an xt30.
