Hi all

Actually, Geostorm is the culprit! Hopefully ridden and typing up his thoughts as we speak. So hold on there, Colonel, it should be any day now.....

In case he's reading, or if your in touch with him by e-mail, Hatti, He should post a copy of the review in this thread as well as in the Electric Bike Reviews section for two reasons: Firstly, it can take weeks for the review to appear after you've submitted it to thereviews section; secondly. if you use the "what's new" tab, it doesn't link to reviews.

Ha-ha.

Think he might have more luck than the other lad trying to sell that funny stretched out audax-type thing with drop handlebars.

It did prompt me to get my lazy backside on a couple of lightweight road bikes ... very fast and easy to ride but I do tend to take everything but the kitchen sink around with me so striving for sub-10kg on a bike and then wanting to plonk another 10kg of stuff on it to be able to do anything remotely productive other than ride - go home - repeat kind of defeats the object ! Ah well ... the hunt for a sensible and affordable 2nd bike continues ...

Frustrating thing is I'll probably find everyone has one in 5 years' time !!

That is without a doubt the shortest, worst review of an ebike I have ever read :(
Must admit, as a prospective purchaser of said bike, I'm a little disappointed having waited around for this review. I still have lots of questions.
Why was battery flat?
Is gearing ok or is it under geared?
what sort of realistic range will I get?
what was test ride route so I can view on map?
Is pedelec power applied smoothly or have long lag?
Do lights illuminate an unlit road well enough to see or just enough light to be seen?
Is rear light AA battery or off motive power battery?
Etc, .............

I think you can safely bank on no factory-supplied lights being adequate ... I've a front dynamo powered set on my bike which as fitted lights go are definitely high end but I use them as well as (not instead of) a strong set of bike lights (even on lit roads for being seen). You can get a very good set of lights for well under £60 and they are an absolutely sound investment - there will be no shortage of recommendations ;).

Agreed.

As a newbie to this forum I decided that the initial urge to buy an eBike ('this week') to try out this mode of transport should be moderated to a 'read and learn excersize' over at least a few months (till the spring maybe!)

So I was delving in to this thread from time to time every few days , what a surprise to see the review suddenly pop up in "classified"
Would anyone like to translate it and put it into context, and/or punctuated speelchucked english !?
