I blame Photobucket. It's their fault. It was probably them that started the trend of making sweets smaller too. Spoilsports

When I open that link David I can't see a bike. I can see something's there, but I just get a load of disjointed horizontal lines :( Using Safari on a MBP, not that I'd think that's relevant as all other pics are okay.

Thanks Gaz, I've put a call into Russ and am awaiting a reply.

David,
When are Wisper ebikes going to be available in Australia
We have a large local and expat British community here eagerly awaiting ebikes like this to boost the gene pool
Hi, I am looking for a dealer still I'm afraid. We did have one ready to go but due to ill health it didn't happen. If you know of anyone?

All the best, David

I would have thought there would be a few ebike dealers who would be interested in stocking your ebikes. I assume you have reached out to them already

Only the word Carb... in that square is active. I clicked on that and got a great full screen photo loaded.

Is much difference in price between Bosch CX and Shimano E8000. This is price you buy drives from manufacturers.
Don't expect $amount more percentage. Also did you consider Yamaha PWX or Brose.

Hi Trevor,

We carefully considered Yamaha, Brose, and even Bafang.

Prices were all compatible the Shimano E8000 being one of the dearest. Typically motor systems cost between about 40% and 60% of the bikes value although on cheaper models this can be up to just under 80%.

We chose the E8000 for various reasons. Our initial choice was Bosch but after some consideration for various reasons we decided Shimano's offering was better for us. Amongst the reasons were, because of the way the motor is oriented in the frame we could use geometry akin to a non powered MTB giving a more nimble ride through tight bends. The motor is lighter than others and is programmable by the rider to suit their individual needs, much like a graphic equaliser. We also felt the way the system put the power down was more intuitive and felt more natural than the others.

The back up in the UK is excellent and we believe that Shimano, having been in the industry for so much longer than the others, better understand the needs of cyclists.

All the best, David

Thank for reply. Shimano was my first choice but the deal on Cube CX was to good to refuse. Would also have had to wait another 6-12month for right Shimano bike and budget. User interface was one of appeals of Shimano. Very happy with CX performance, small chainring and user interface leave some room for improvement.

The CX is a great motor, we sold quite a few when we were representing Riese and Muller in the UK. Everyone we sold them to were happy with them.

They didn't work for us with the style of mountain bike we wanted to develop.

All the best, David

Are you going to actually fit the right length of dropper post, or the wrong length as shown?

I fail to see how any opinions can be put forward in respect of the bike, until detailed geometry specification has been shown, along with full component spec and frame sizes. Other than pointing out the obvious incorrect dropper post length, I shall save my comments in relation to the bike, for when it becomes a marketable product.

Hi Eddie, you'll have to forgive my renderings, the saddle will be different too, as will some other components. This is simply aimed to give our friends on Pedelecs a bit of a heads up on what we are doing. A bit of insider info.

We are always pleased to get feedback, negative or positive from the forum, far better at this stage whilst we can still make changes.

We are not ready to go fully public yet, but as soon as we do I will be posting all the final specifications, images and prices here. We are also considering a special Pedelecs Members' launch offer on the bikes.

All the best, David

Hi David, how did you find the Brose compared with the Shimano in terms of noise and natural pedalling motion? I haven't had a chance to try the Brose or Steps system yet. Were they similar in price?
