Good to know, but the Rio doesn't have the option of either torque or cadence sensors, which allow for different riding styles.
I am working on it!Good to know, but the Rio doesn't have the option of either torque or cadence sensors, which allow for different riding styles.
it's inefficient and expensive for what it is.4. is the RST mono-shock front fork a bad idea, bad quality, too expensive?
this time, a good and cheap product but has a couple of drawbacks. It's heavy and ugly. Better to have a ful-sus if you have a bad back.5. as most people install an aftermarket NCX seat post wouldn't it be a good idea to factory mount it instead?
there is nothing wrong with hydraulic disc brakes, why change?6. Get over disk brakes, hydraulic rim brakes are just as powerful and much lighter and they adjust automatically...
On a city/trekking bike? With balloon tyres? Your roads must have gotten really bad since I was there in the 80's The fork weighs 1.33 kg compared to 2.2 kg, remember we are talking about city/trekking, weight matters when you have to man handle a bike with loaded panniers through trafic. I agree it is expensive. My cheap entry level forks are sprung without dampers already so I know where I am going...it's inefficient and expensive for what it is.
You need a spring (air or coil) and a hydraulic damper, both adjustable, so it's logical to have them in two legs.
I have had no back pain since I mounted mine. OK my bike geometry has changed, it is closer to the right size for me, but no back pain even on 60 km+ rides. Full-sus = more weight, see above. Yes it is heavy but ugly c'est un vue de l'esprit...this time, a good and cheap product but has a couple of drawbacks. It's heavy and ugly. Better to have a ful-sus if you have a bad back.
The RST mono-shock doesn't like disk brakes...there is nothing wrong with hydraulic disc brakes, why change?
Thanks David. I will be trying out both Steps and Brose this weekend, so should have a better idea if either are worth pursuing.Hi Andrew, unfortunately I can help much with the Brose, but would be happy to sort out an E8000 set for you.
All the best, David
Good luck Andrew, if I can be of any assistance please let me know. Thanks David. I will be trying out both Steps and Brose this weekend, so should have a better idea if either are worth pursuing.
Could the top edge of the battery be made to look more seamless with the frame?Be blunt
That's true but I still prefer it to the ones which show the battery. My oxygen has the curved top tube. Pain in the ass for a triangle bag.
Or a water bottle on the downtube.
I agree with Eddy on the BH bikes look. Bafang Max motor mount? How about a horizontal dropout version with a nexus 8?What do you think of this as a concept?
We will have a sample for the NEC show. Be blunt!
All the best, David

Hi Chris,Would be nice to be able to read the dimensions. What is your target, XC, All Mountain? How much suspension travel?
Ah I see, I thought you were giving more info on the geometry of the MTBs.Hi Chris,
This is our city and Trekking bike concept, you can see our eMTB designs earlier in the thread.
All the best, David
