I was going to say that..my 3 rides up Winnats were very similar speed wise.( 8mph and 10mph I think)
Air drag increases to square of speed so 40% faster will have way more drag...but I,m running fat tyres with 40psi and I weigh 105kg..
??
Would be interesting for you to do ride on my bike...see speed and current...
I suspect you could set a decent time without electric, would take me 20 minutes.( if at all)

On the whole the e-bike halves my time, so 11 or 12 minutes is a possibility on my carbon race bike.

Juicy bike offered me a test ride on their new Sport bike, which would of been interesting, sadly I'm finding it very hard to consider riding it, my idea of sport is clearly very different to theirs. (Sorry Bob)

This is my idea of sport

Under 5 minutes should be possible on a better bike than mine I reckon.

I'm a bit more than 20 kg's lighter, but should really be another 10 kg's lighter still.

Nice one..
I should be 95 kg rather than 105 but to be fair have lost a few pounds since getting ebike...At this rate should be target weight when bikes done about 100 k miles..

Take care.
Got to Lady Bower for 7.30 this morning..beautiful but cold..Picture from Lockerbrook Farm..WP_20160423_003.jpg

My pleasure Artstu. I found it a really useful experience. That system will be used in our new bike, but the new bike will not be specifically for anything other than every day use. The market for high performance sporty down hills is not what we're chasing.
I'm just pleased I got up Winnats myself, through that tunnelling wind. Humbled by your fitness sir!

Yesterday this young man decided on the spur of the moment to do an Everest challenge on Winnats Pass, that's riding the equivalent total height, which is 43 full ascents of Winnats. Only those who have ridden up will fully appreciate just how hard it would have been.

Had another go at Winnats yesterday, didn't time it though, about 2 minutes I think. A bit like one of my favourite bikes the VTR 250, but bigger.

Arne was Everesting again yesterday on a different hill. this time his GPS didn't let him down, I did 6 climbs with him late in the day.

Arne's in red, and in the background you can just make out what is left of the Ferodo Brake Linings factory.
