What type of motor wheel do you need?
Power, size, cassette/freewheel, sensored/sensorless, weight, width, speed and voltage are all important characteristics.

check the motor lead: 3-pin, 6-pin or 9-pin plug?

Some of the Kudos ones are sensorless. Be careful!

thanks woosh the original moter lead is a six pin and had bog standard unbranded 14 amp controller, led handlebar unit with 3 levels of pas.

I have a kt led 890 handlebar unit I could use, buy a new controller ? if I can source a moter wheel.

I find the 350w yosepower rear hub as fitted , uses quite a lot of battery and range is not as good as I would like

you need similar motor with 6-pin plug.
The trouble is, some motor has 1 magnet, some have 6 for the speed sensor. There is no way of knowing until you connect up the motor.
What's wrong with the old motor? may be worth repairing.

thanks all the moter works, what I haven't kept was the pas sensor,

also I have not got the 6 pin lead from moter to controller (think that must have been bined in error)
I have the newer kt type left hand pas sensor?

don't see any of the very thin wires on kudos controllerDSCF1655.JPG

your old motor is sensorless with internal speed sensor.

I have the newer kt type left hand pas sensor?
you can replace the broken pedal sensor with the KT left side sensor.
