Hello, I am just about to purchase my first pedelec and seriously looking at the Oxygen E City. My commute is a 60 mile round trip, I'm 54 and weight is 90 kgs. Will this model be suitable, help....
I think there are some good deals around now. So you could buy it and even ride it to work once or twice before you changed jobs.I think I'll wait till I change jobs then, plus the weather will (hopefully) be better. Your comments are much appreciated.
I think you're right RobF. Perhaps I was expecting too much and I'm so glad I posted this thread...Have you tried any ebikes?
Your remarks about 60 miles and a throttle suggest you may be expecting too much.
None of the legal ones are balls of fire, quite the reverse.
The commute to your new job is doable, but even then it will take around an hour each way.
Two hours or more a day on a bike in all weathers and a shift at work is not for everyone.
The Karoo looks like a real good bike and more suitable for my 25 round commute.I think there are some good deals around now. So you could buy it and even ride it to work once or twice before you changed jobs.
Whereabouts in the country are you?The Karoo looks like a real good bike and more suitable for my 25 round commute.
You haven't said the terrain you are going to cover, ie; flat, etc.Hello, I am just about to purchase my first pedelec and seriously looking at the Oxygen E City. My commute is a 60 mile round trip, I'm 54 and weight is 90 kgs. Will this model be suitable, help....
Are you seriously suggesting that this bike is suitable for a 14,000 miles per year commute?one bike that I think can do 60 miles a day is the woosh Karoo with 15AH battery. The bike is light, fast, and energy efficient. It has a throttle too.

yes. The electrics will last 14,000 miles. Mechanically, you only need to replace the cheap derailleur. Are you seriously suggesting that this bike is suitable for a 14,000 miles per year commute?
Would be as good as any and better than most. I do 40 miles per day on something similar. Are you seriously suggesting that this bike is suitable for a 14,000 miles per year commute?
Have a look here at the link below. I have no trouble getting 50-60 miles on a charge and over some severe ground too. Winter will not be so good with lower temperatures of course. Have done over 2000 kms in five months in all weathers. Faultless. Get a spare charger for in work or carry the one you have with you. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/news/tour-world-70s-electric-bike/Hello, I am just about to purchase my first pedelec and seriously looking at the Oxygen E City.
