Website update is good

Able to post OK with iPad too.

So, I am able to post with Mac, iPad, Android smartphone and Windows laptop.
Tried OSX, Windows and Ubunto operating systems.
Using Safari and Google Chrome browsers, clearly no problem my end.

What could be the problem for others?

I am having loads of problems using the site on my tablet. I have contacted admin but no reply so going off to try endless, will come back in a month to see if things have improved.

I can view the site normally using the firefox browser on my tablet, but cannot format replies on there. The cursor doesn't respond as in normal use, and if I go back to correct a speeling mistake, for example, I can't get back to the end of my message to complete it. The formatting of the forum on a tablet is spot on, however, with no wasted space.

It's odd behaviour when normally there are no issues with text entry on the tablet, but if I want to reply to anything I just wait till I can get to the pc or laptop

I had this problem this time last year with my Galaxy S2 when using a web browser to access the forum. It must be an Android problem. You can switch to Tapatalk to access the forum, and you will be happy

Mmm. I've got tapatalk on my mobile, and only use it when away from home. I prefer the webbased forum, but may have to try it with the tablet

I think Tapatalk is better when you've got used to it. the more you use it, the better it gets. A bit like this new forum. Now that I'm used to it, I prefer it to the last one by quite a lot.

I am finding with the new forum that writing text is a nightmare, its like the forum is 20 seconds behind what I type, then its impossible to go back and edit anything and go back to start writing again.When the pages load it take ages too, it appears in blocks, so when scrolling down the page there is nothing there, you have to wait until it appears again.

I have written a few times to admin but the messages must be getting lost too.
I am using samsung android note 10.1, with maxthon web browser. Using chrome is better but not by much, the problem with the chrome is it zooms in when using any text box, which is chromes fault not any websites.

When trying to use the video tags it will not work either.
I am not having any problems with other sites what so ever. Tapatalk wont log in to the new website either just sits there and hangs.

Hope this helps, though it works ok using windows I just prefer using tablets these days.

I find the new form at OK, except for the annoying background picture that I get around the sides. Better if it was just blank

I killed that off by downloading AdBlock+ extension for Firefox. Handily, it gives selective element blocking. Unfortunately, it doesn't work the same way in Chrome or Iron.

OK....I kinda sort of quite like it now EXCEPT the text just isnt strong and black enough.....and I like my text strong and black ......
I hate wishy washy...is this not irritating anyone else ?

And it still seems like half a page is just half a site to me.....

Right...back to Zooplus to order more toys for my new Maine Coon kittens.........and the print on that site is FAR better....it must be, Ive spent a fortune lol

Press Ctrl and + together and the main text will be a little larger and more visible. Ctrl and - will reduce it.

Strange. The signature text remains very pale after Ctrl +, as do the page numbers against the thread titles, but your main reply text is fine on my monitor.

Yes flecc, there is a difference between the two, but the main text is still paler than it is on any other site I go on , no way is it as black as it should be.
Its irritating me and drawing my eyes,and to be honest, as Ive got used to the new site, it is the only thing that is really not good as far as Im concerned.

Yes, that's certainly true, the text has a lower contrast than is commonplace. Also the very faint page numbers against the thread title lists are irritating since, unlike the other faint areas, they are an important navigation feature.

Glad its not just me flecc.....I was beginning to think my eyesight was worse than I thought.
It would be great if it could be fixed, I cant see any reasonable reason for it, but maybe its to do with the general 'purple tinge' of the site......not great

My sites like this one have a purplish tinged background but very clear black text.
