I sent email in fact. Reply was "They do not have an off-road switch."
Not sure if that is the main reason for not being able to derestrict or they just concerned about warranty issue!!

I doubt if they will be concerned about warrenty after all if you void it then it would save them time and money. Maybe you can't de restrict the new models maybe it is what it is.

Is derestrict feature is something that depends on LCD or something else ? if you change lcd with similar ones would you be able to derestrict?

simple enoough to find out: pedal past 15.5 mph, if the motor cuts out then the bike is restricted.

Well, like I said before, with a full charge and Pas level 5, motor pushes to 18-19 miles without I putting much effort and I can hear the motor noise. Motor runs as long as I continue pedal. Is that mean it's not restricted?

that's right. The maximum speed depends on the motor, controller and battery. All three have to be able to support high speed. Most bikes are not restricted because the motor is not very fast or the controller or the battery not very strong.
To go into settings, one usually holds down both the + and - buttons on the LCD for about 3 seconds.

Getting to 19kpm is what I used to get on full pas. The new Wave LCD maybe different from mine and maybe you need a different button combernation to override. Volt probulary know how but don't want to pass the knowledge on.

Where there's a will there's a way, however even on derestricted you won't be able to get more than 40kph ie 25mph at most, this is because of the limitations of your motor and Battery. My battery is the lower 36w 10a and the most I get on a full charge is 37kph.

Tbh That's pretty good enough. Although I'm getting 18-19 mph on maximum battery level, sometimes I honestly felt a little increase in speed would be great addition when necessary.

If I have facilities that are not used its nothing but wasted...

5-7 miles increase is a lot I think, when we are talking about a bike....

I don't think your bike is restricted. It has the same 8-Fun motor, battery and probably controller as the Woosh Gale which is not restricted and will go up to about 18-19mph if you pedal hard. To get over 20mph, you need 17A or 20A controller and a motor with no load speed at over 320 RPM or a crank drive that you can change to high ratio gear.
